Hanouka, The Lights of Life
Menorah, blessings & dreidel
$1.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Light the menorah with your fingertip, wherever you are.
Swipe up over the wick like striking a match, and the flame comes to life. Through all eight nights, Hanouka is there with sung blessings, a step-by-step guide, sunset reminders and a dreidel game. Everything you need to celebrate Hanukkah with your family.
A GUIDE FOR EVERY NIGHT
• The app knows which night it is and how many candles to light
• Four simple steps: the shamash, the blessings, the candles in the right order, then the songs
• Friday (before Shabbat) and Saturday night (after Havdalah) reminders
• The candles burn for about 35 minutes and the screen can stay on
NEW: THE DREIDEL GAME
Spin the dreidel and stop the needle on ג to take the whole pot!
• 56 levels over 8 nights, following the Maccabean revolt from Modiin to the cruse of oil
• Every night, a bonus level and a boss to beat to light one more candle
• Surprise rules: shuffled zones, a fickle needle, a golden pot and more
• Three powers: slow-mo, magnifier and shield
• 168 stars to earn, with a Game Center leaderboard and achievements
• A tutorial to learn the game, and a choice of ש or פ, as on dreidels in Israel
BLESSINGS AND SONGS
• The two nightly blessings, plus the first-night blessing
• Haneirot Halalu and Maoz Tzur
• Recordings with the Hebrew text, a transliteration that lights up as you listen, and a translation
• The full text and all verses
FOUR MENORAHS
Marble, classic gold, modern, or oil lamps on Jerusalem stone: pick your favorite and switch anytime.
