Tourstart is a user-friendly web site and app where you can plan and find inspiration for your next motorcycle tour or holiday. With the “All-in-One” from Tourstart you have all you need to you to plan, ride and share your motorcycle tours. Create a motorcycle ride in 5 easy ways: MapDraw Create a tour direct on the map FingerDraw Create a tour by draw direct on the map Destination Set a destination and use RideTwister to create your route RoundTrip Let RideTwister create a route for you POI Set start-via-end points and create your route by clicking on the map Navigation Turn-by-turn navigation Offline maps covering the entire world Integration with www.tourstart.org There is a full integration between the web page and the app. RideLink RideLink is an app feature that allows you to share your location with friends while riding your motorcycle. RideLink is a concept designed to make it easy and fun to organize and join group motorcycle rides. RideLink Features: - Shared Route - Live Tracking - Flexible Participation - Safety & Overview Tourstart RideTwister Tourstart analyzed what motorcyclists requests as to make the perfect motorcycle ride. We had a close dialogue with our users, and based on this constructive dialogue, the RideTwister algorithm were developed. The RideTwister function comprises of three mechanisms: • Tour Calculator • Slider • Recalculation The mechanism developed is a unique algorithm which creates an unlimited number of tours. The algorithm analyses the most twisted tour based on your input of how you want to ride and how twisted you want the route to be. RideTwister Slider When sliding the RideTwister slider you get a more and more twisted route. Just slide until you have made the tour fulfilling your requirements. RideTwister Recalculation It is possible to get more tour suggestions by using the advanced recalculate function. Keep the slider on the actual level and recalculate to get tours with approx. same length and time. I used it four years ago and it was less than adequate. I saw in the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Owner news for January and February 2024 that it is now free for MOA members.Has anyone tested this recently and put some feedback out anywhere?

Not ready for prime time

I tried to download some maps to no avail. The app said it was downloading, I have plenty of signal and after two hours no maps and the app confirmed that. Oh I tried to find what was the problem and went the FAQ and tried to use the users manual, which was a joke. Nada, nothing. A waste of time. I don’t like being a negative nelly but I found nothing in the app that worked. I use navigation apps at my job all day every day and when I am traveling ashore. I’m a big fan of backcountry hiking and have mapping programs for those pursuits. I have an app for when I am bicycling. The Tourstart app can not hold a candle to any of them. There does seem to be some good ideas in the mix that unfortunately don’t work and I have high hopes that with diligent efforts on the developers part they may be successful eventually. I would not have this available to the public until you have vetted it with people in the know as your going to ruin your customer base with negative ratings. So my suggestion is to take it off the market, work like hell to get a good stable product, change the name so old attitudes don’t follow you and make a splash. Seriously

Wow! I wouldn’t even give this app 1 star but I guess I had to. To complicated and I ran out of time quickly to figure it out. Finger draw would have been a good concept but to small to use and it doesn’t follow the route I wanted to go. I could sure use the app space for something else. Sorry Tourstart, your gone! Deleted! Just like that! Ha!

Wow! I wouldn’t even give this app 1 star but I guess I had to. To complicated and I ran out of time quickly to figure it out. Finger draw would have been a good concept but to small to use and it doesn’t follow the route I wanted to go. I could sure use the app space for something else. Sorry Tourstart, your gone! Deleted!
