Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This app is ideal for commuters who enjoy a nap between travels. Features: - Find a place through address - Refine the search moving the pin with a touch - Set the distance to be reminded - Beautiful apple maps - Play a sound before you reach the destination. Just plug your earphones and wait to be reminded

This is an elegant, minimalist app that alerts you when you are within a specified distance (among four choices) of a location. One caution to users: Check where the embedded mapping software places the pin for your target (which you can move). As a test, I set it for an airport where I was dropping someone off. The alarm only sounded, however, as I left the terminal because the pin was between two runways, which I had failed to notice.Within a few days of my suggesting it, you can also now save multiple favorites, without need to repeat typing for frequently-used locations. Great response!! Thanks.
