Ratings and Reviews
I played for over 2 yrs. I absolutely loved the game and because the island decorations were so amazing, I didn’t mind spending real money to get what I wanted for my island and thought that the designers deserved it. You don’t have to spend money to play and there are still lots of awesome choices for your island but yes, it may take a little longer to play through. Honestly, If you spend just a little here and there it never slows down. Personally,I felt that what I got for the money I spent, was well worth it. I did experience times when I would lose energy etc or have problems but the team was always very quick to answer my emails and questions and even though I don’t have Facebook, I was still able to get the some of the same gifts and extra energies and other specials they offered to Facebook players by going to the Facebook page, they usually put a notice in your game that there are gifts etc. The drawback was not having the adventure clubs without Facebook but overall, this game is a winner! I am sorry that I finally completed my island and wish there was some forum to post pics of our islands without Facebook so I could share mine and see other peoples islands, but all in all THANKS WOOGA TEAM for a great game! I’m moving on to June’s journey now but, pearl will be missed!
Playing Pearl’s Peril
I have been playing this game religiously for over a year. It is a great place to make friends with people all over the world. I have conversations daily with friends I have made in Scotland, Canada, Australia, etc. Become a member of one of the clubs and, like the group I am a member of (we call ourselves a family) you could complete weekly challenges and win special awards not available to those who fail.
I truly enjoy playing this game, and would have normally given it 5 stars, but...there are certain things which make that impossible. 1st). If a player has 10 energy points in their bank, the game does not allow the opportunity to gain more energy points while if there is zero energy points in their bank, every 15 minutes you are automatically given an energy point up to the limit of 10. 2nd). It is impossible to get The Captain’s tickets without purchasing them and asking some of my friends to send me tickets. The Wooga company needs to set up a way for the players to get tickets automatically added to our bank. 3rd). There are times when, as with every game, if you want to continue to play, a player has to make an in app purchase. It would make it so much easier for many of us to continue playing if it wasn’t so darn expensive!
FINALLY... I played this game solo for about 4 months before I finally figured out how to join a group. If you choose to download this game, join a group as soon as you can! It MAKES this game!

Waste of time
At first I really enjoyed this game. I like that you have to remember where to locate each item to get quicker. It's good for old folks like me with memory issues. Unfortunately the game is getting really, really bad about booting you out due to loss of internet connection. Umm...no. And once you supposedly lose the connection, it robs you of your energy in the game or tickets in the captains challenge. I just played that challenge and had 7 tickets. It booted me no less than 4 times within 10 minutes. I wouldn't mind being booted so much if it didn't steal the tickets or your energy. At least program it to give those back. There is no reason for that. Seriously, they've had plenty of complaints over a long enough period to have fixed the issue. I also have to agree with other posts on the greediness issue. When you are further into the game it takes forever to build enough coins to make the purchase of larger items in order to open new scenes. You have two options: keep playing the same scenes over and over again for 13 coins instead of 25. And I do mean replay, replay, replay. Pretty sure they hope to get you hooked, then get you frustrated enough to pay money out. How else would they be able to make money? Totally disgusted to say the least. And don't even get me started on how hard it is to earn cash or open new parts of the island. Heads up folks. Once you reach about 147 badges or so, good luck on building. Just saying....
