Teach your child to read with this easy to use app. This app teaches in a step by step method and in just few sessions, you will find your kids reading their first books. Are you teaching a little one to read? Using CVC Words phonics to teach your child to read, is the first step to making them independent readers. What are CVC Words? A CVC word is a word that is made up of a consonant, vowel and consonant sound. Cat, hot, tip, man and hut are all CVC words. CVC words can help build kids confidence in reading. For children to start reading, they should first understand the sounds of each letter in the given word. This app is here to help them all along the way. It will teach them individual sounds a word is made up of… 1. Beginning Consonant Sound 2. Ending Consonant Sound 3. Vowel Sound The words in the app are levelled as per phonics standards. My daughter likes the game but I don't like the automated voice that reads the words. It does not sound personalized and it is difficult for my daughter to understand what is being said, unless I read it to her. Also, if possible, please change the response for wrong answers. It's negative; something like, "Oops! Try again," would be better.

Thanks for the review. We have updated the sounds to natural sounds. The wrong answer responses are also changed to encouraging ones.

This is one of the best apps I have found to help my 5 year old learn to read. It is nearly perfect. However, I do not think the use of a gun ( complete with picture) is appropriate. We are a military family so for us it's not a political issue. We don't want to desensitize our children to handguns. PLEASE REMOVE the word GUN from the words used in this app.

kids apps guy
found it on app search. My pre schooler loved it. She was able to hook on to the simple words and be excited enough to read her own books. The app provides about 10 simple books and is very useful to keep kids engaged.
