When should I install my eSIM?
To ensure a smooth setup process, we recommend installing your eSIM just before your departure, as installation requires a stable Internet connection. However, if you prefer, you can wait until you arrive in the country to activate your eSIM using WIFI. Once your eSIM is installed, you have the option to turn it off. Activation of the package only occurs when you use your eSIM in the country/region where it is eligible for connection. When you land, simply turn on your eSIM, set roaming to “on” and enjoy being connected.

It would be helpful if somewhere there were instructions on seeing if the phone’s sim is unlocked and able to use this. Before standing in the airport in Iceland.

To clear this up: our app checks whether your device is eSIM compatible, but carrier lock is a separate thing set by your home provider, so it isn't something we can check from our side. A quick call to them before you fly is the easiest way to confirm. We're sorry this caught you out at the airport, that's not the start to a trip we want for anyone. Useless for physical SIM

Since announcement of sunset of physical SIM cards Knowroaming app cannot let you access your account and you cannot access online through a browser. Considering they are going to delete all existing credit after sept 1st unless you reload it will expire again in 9 months after the last reload date available on sept 9th. Which you cannot access your account to reload anyway. They also won’t move any credits over to an eSIM. This is a big scam.

Too slow after the first 5GB

Tried the twice and it was good and fast. The third time was too bad. I bought unlimited internet only to realize when you finish 5GB in a day you the internet drops drastically. It drops to a point where you can finish a full cigarette while waiting for a short video to load and maybe more. ( just to so you can visualize what I mean by slow😅). They said for each 24hrs you get 5GB PF high speed internet. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. After that first 5GB it wasn’t like the first time I used it.

After that, speeds do drop so everyone sharing the network stays connected, and we're sorry that wasn't clear before you bought.
