My personal experience with the app has been fine so far- however I am worried it’s going to get worse or I’ll face issues based on all the other negative reviews. Something I’m worried about is the audio not picking up. I wish there was a way to pause your recording and listen to part of it back, to make sure it sounds correct. I really don’t want to put in hours of work and then have it nullified because the audio isn’t good enough. It worked fine on my phone so far with my AirPods, but I don’t have a microphone or headset so I’m also worried about getting play tests on my other devices and having it not be good enough. I feel like there should also be some sort of check during the waiting period in between gaming sessions, where someone from Playtest checks your audio (that has already been uploaded) and will tell you if it’s not good enough, rather than waiting until the end after you put a ton of work in.

I have been getting multiple chances to do tests and that’s a good thing. However, no matter what I do, the app won’t let me actually complete the test. I do all of the prelim stuff and actually go to record but it never works thru the app. I have to manually record and then it never actually uploads to the app like it is supposed to. I’m never able to do the surveys and get credit because I can’t get it to actually record my progress and upload it properly. I have done this one trial at least 6 times and can’t get the progress to update. Please fix this. I have like 5 emails of tests waiting but can’t do the first one nor move onto the next ones.

I rating this app and the PlaytestCloud platform. I’ve done several playtest for this company and on my iPad Pro it’s always an issue with connecting the microphone with the playtest. I use to always have no issue with the microphone on my Samsung S20 but for some reason after I made a effort to complete the last few playtest with recording my voice and playing….they said that my microphone was low or they couldn’t hear me. Therefore, I wasn’t wasting anymore of my time and energy to play a game for 30 minutes to an hour only for them to come back and say we can’t pay you because we didn’t hear you. I’m under the impression that they said that with the last two playtest I did for them on order for them to make an excuse not to pay me. So, to the developers of this app and playtest, you wasted my time which I could’ve been doing something else for someone else that would’ve actually paid me for my time. If I could give 0 stars I would! Your company don’t deserve to test games because you really don’t want to pay your users.

I have been paid out in the past and have done multiple test with success but your most recent update destroyed the apps usability. I did a play test that went smoothly, I did the mic test, then I went to check if I can do the survey and the app just refuses to load. I got to the survey through my email and finished it. The next day the play test is denied for the first time saying “my mic cut out” which is weird. I don’t understand why can’t we preview the sound before sending it in I would play for a longer period in order to make sure it works. Whats more frustrating is now I can’t even open the app to look at new play tests, it stays on a loading screen. I got an email to do a play test today and I still can’t get the app to open. No matter what WiFi I’m on it’s not working.
