Texts are converted into natural language by artificial intelligence (AI). Since the artificial intelligence (AI) is located on a server, an active internet connection is required for speech synthesis.
Thats how it works:
Enter any text in the text field. Then click on the 'Read aloud' button and an mp3 file will be generated from the text using speech synthesis (TTS). This mp3 file is then read aloud and can be downloaded or shared. Only mp3 is output as the audio format. Other audio formats are not supported.
Texts that have already been converted into an mp3 file using speech synthesis (TTS) are displayed in the history and saved on the device. These can be read out, downloaded or shared at any time without renewed speech synthesis (TTS).
In order to also convert texts in images into natural-sounding speech, the app offers a text recognition feature that can recognize texts from images using OCR (optical character recognition).
