Purple Carrot has made my life so much easier

This service is irreplaceable to me. I’ve been using it for (2?) years now and I see myself continuing to for the years to come. The convenience of having ingredients for meals delivered weekly is unmatched. The food quality is always on point and the meal selection has gotten even better over that last few months. The app is easy to use and very intuitive. Highly recommend!

Inconsistent-excellent meal options

We’ve been using Purple Carrot for a few weeks now. We were with Hello fresh but there weren’t enough vegan gluten-free options. I love the variety and the quality of the ingredients and recipes with Purple Carrot. However, there is no human to ever help you with anything. You can only text or email but They do everything they can to use an automated AI type assistant. Nearly impossible to get a true human. hello fresh was great about customer service. And it was very easy to report missing ingredients or recipes. also delivery has been sketchy. We told them that they should never leave packages outside of the driveway gate that they should always be left at the front door and twice now we’ve had this issue where they left it out by the side of the road. One time the box was falling apart. I’m giving them three stars for these reasons. Although I do think they have five star recipes and ingredients. I hope that delivery mishaps and issues logging into their website do not continue to happen.

Food is good, service is frustrating

App could use a direct link to customer service. I contacted customer service four business days (6 days total) before my order was being delivered notifying them that an old address was being used. They let me know a one time courtesy update would be made but couldn’t guarantee the update. I also sent a customer service request directly to OnTrac the delivery service. It was still delivered to the wrong address. I was gifted a gift card and it’s just been a headache experience trying to get things sorted and I’ve been pro active with customer service. Redeeming the gift card wasn’t a smooth process which lead me to creating a duplicate account that started this mess. The app could offer more clear details like the address it’s being delivered to up front instead of hidden so I could’ve caught the issue earlier. Customer service team is responsive but the product needs help.

The app is mostly pretty easy to use to make weekly selections and view ingredients.It would be so much easier to find things if there was a way to search the grocery items, or at least sort them by category. It’s annoying to have to scroll through everything on the long list to hopefully find what I want.It would also be so helpful if we could rate each recipe (like 1-5 stars) for our personal use. I like being able to indicate favourites, but I would love to be able to see how much I liked a meal - or didn’t like it - in the past when I’m considering ordering that one again.
