We proudly introduce "Sightreading Exercises 2.0". New category "Practise Real Songs" has been added. We now have the full capacity of onboarding music learners using this seamless flow : Flash Cards for beginners -> Full Flow Sheet Music training -> Achieve your real musicianship goal by playing real songs. We have two music books for our initial release of 2.0. More are coming. For instruments that require reading grand stave like piano and harp, you have options for practising with left hand, right hand or both hands. Other enhancements: 1. Our rhythm notation system fully supports triplets. Triplets have now become part of early training. 2. As our functionality is getting more and more comprehensive, any possible reduction of clicks have been thoroughly considered. - We understand that you only need to tune once for the entire practice session, and tuners are already provided in Tools section. - Switching between levels won't require tuning confirmation. - This applies to middle C detection for piano as well. 3. We have been focusing on improvement of low pitch rhythm detection, making sure that this function works well on E string on guitar as well as low pitch instruments such as cello, double bass, bassoon...etc Roadmap: 1. First of all, we have addressed an issue for iPad users having an external Apple keyboard (right orientation is set by default). Under these circumstances, supporting both left and right landscape mode has become necessary. We have added a new "Tools" section: 1. Tuner for your selected instrument. 2. General-purpose chromatic tuner (supporting the widely used 'equal temperament'). In future versions, we will support other temperaments. 3. We are proud to introduce our NEW metronome widget. Features: - Drag the slider along the pendulum arm to adjust the BPM (beat per minute). - Pendulum animation powered by real-time game engine physics. - A metronome that feels real — without carrying the box. In this version, we focused on a number of fundamental improvements : 1. We optimised our pitch detection parameters octave by octave, making sure the detection speed is optimised and maximised. 2. We did what you asked for, bringing back our classic 'Flash Card' training for shallow learners. - The app now has two practice categories : 'Flash Card for beginners' and 'Full Flow of Sheet music'. - In Flash Card mode, we introduced hint on/off option for piano learners. We teach you how to play notes from ground up (suitable for absolute beginners). 3. For violin, we now have option for students who opt in for Suzuki curriculum. Suzuki beginners are first introduced with A and E string. 4. We have further strengthened our metronome function. In rhythm mode, you will see the current number of beat in a measure. 5. With more and more functions added to the app, navigation has become a problem. We must improve navigation flow. Exiting the current practice session will now bring you back to the level selection, so that you can immediately pick and start another level. 6. We further improved the piano sound from screen keyboard. It sounds smoother now. Our current roadmap: 1. Another 'Practise real songs' category will be added next, in addition to all the built-in tuners and metronome functions we already have, our app will soon become a general-purpose musicianship practice system. 2.
