Welcome to VRChat — a virtual world filled with limitless possibilities.
Spend your afternoon dogfighting in fighter jets, before winding down in a treehouse that exists floating in a nebula. Make a new best friend while exploring a haunted mansion, right before playing a hand of cards with a robot, alien, and eight-foot tall wolf.
In VRChat, there are hundreds of thousands of worlds, millions of avatars – all created by the users. No matter what you’re into, there’s a space in VRChat for you. And if there isn’t, we’ll give you the tools to make your dream a reality.
While not required to join in on the fun, VRChat was built to take advantage of VR headsets in many unique ways. That means avatars that flow with your movement, and systems that work alongside various hardware platforms to provide full-body tracking, finger tracking, and much, much more. Even if you’re jumping in on your phone or tablet, you’ll get to experience the magic of hanging out with people that feel like they’re really there – not just some character on a screen!
Use the companion app to keep up with your VRChat friends, or launch into a VRChat world to meet new friends right from your iOS device!
There’s something magical around every corner. Come take a look, and see what you find.
MEET NEW FRIENDS
In VRChat, there’s always something to do – and people to meet there.
Visit a planetarium and have a chat about astronomy. Go on a virtual hike through a majestic fantasy forest. Pull up to a car meet, and talk shop with some gearheads. Attend a live music event underneath a chemical storage facility, and talk obscure genres with DJs.
Your community – whatever it is – is here.
GO ON AN ADVENTURE
There are thousands of games to play in VRChat. Try running a kitchen in a busy restaurant, or racing go-karts in zero gravity. Fancy a battle royale? We’ve got those, too. Just probably with a wider diversity of avatars than you’ve ever seen before.
It doesn’t matter what you like to play: casual card games, shooters, racing, platformers, puzzles, horror, and of course, endless party games.
BUILD YOUR DREAMS
Everything here was built by the community using the VRChat SDK. Combined with Unity and Udon, our in-house scripting language, we give our users as much power as possible to build whatever their imaginations can conjure up.
But creation isn’t just limited to worlds.
VRChat provides a level of creative freedom that is unmatched anywhere else, and nowhere is that reflected best than on the avatars of our users. In VRChat, you can be anything, and explore your identity however you’d like. Want to be an alien? A talking dog? A sentient shoe with glowing bits that react to the beat of music by changing color? I mean, sure, if that’s what you’re about.

As a long time player | To Parents (read second paragraph)

I’ve been playing vrchat since late 2017. I’ve played thousands of hours both in desktop, pcvr, and quest standalone. Now that it’s on ios and I’ve spent some time in it, I must say, I’m mildly impressed. It’s runs ok, but it kills your battery quite quickly. I wouldn’t recommend this to people who are new to vrchat and want to get into it. You won’t have a good experience. Ios vrchat seems like it is best treated as a mobile tool for dedicated vrchat users. I can’t quite put my finger on what would make this tool useful yet though. Parents, do not allow your children to play this game. It is not safe. Vrchat is even less safe than Discord and Roblox. I played Vrchat as a minor, and every other minor I knew and have known that’s played Vrchat has been groomed in some fashion. It is not safe, and it will not become safe. Vrchat must be treated like alcohol, meaning it should be enjoyed by adults, in moderation.
loads of bugs

i usually play vrchat on my laptop due to me being too broke for a vr headset, ive never had any issues besides lag (which is probably a fault on my end). but either way, i decided to try out the mobile version out of curiosity. my phone is an iphone 12 pro max so being able to join a game without having to worry about RAM was great. BUT when i try to join certain instances, the "joining..." screen gets stuck and flashes. and when i join instances that DO work im able to play for a few minutes until i get disconnected from the entire instance.bugs and glitches are a big bother for me so im hoping that sometime in the future this is fixed so me and anyone else who is also having issues with these things are able to play.
I like this feature and saw you broken it
Not giving you my **** name.
OK, so a while back I always play VR chat with a controller specifically a dual sense five controller. It would always perform well in the game. I would have a really good mic because of this because whenever you connect your dual sense controller to your phone it also lets you use the external microphone that’s connected to the dual sense controller, specifically a turtle beach headset, microphone, a recon 3000, which causes me to have a better mic because I hate this iPhone mic. However, now whenever I connected the control controller itself without the headphones it’s just lags at four FPS and no this hasn’t been like this has never happened like this before most of the time I would properly run 30 FBS even when I ran this controller before and I was perfectly fine with that, but now, whatever update you put it in this app prevented that same performance now I’m running at four FPS and I can’t even hear the audio from my headphones, please fix your game VR chat specifically for the people who use controllers for these..
Moderation and Age Verifications

I love VRChat. I migrated over to this game since Rec Room had shut down, but since joining, I've seen how truly disturbing the people in the game can be. Of course you can block and report, but how can you collect evidence on this game? You have people yelling threats, people cussing, calling others slurs, and threatening to assult them in different ways. This game is 13+, so of course there are minors exposed to these horrible things on this app. It should be a safer space, which brings me to Age Verification. I shouldn't have to pay money or a subscription to get my age verified. It should be a standard to get verified to use this app, especially with everything that goes down within it that goes against the game's guidelines.
