Mekudeshet
Where matches begin
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Mekudeshet is the app of the Mekudeshet matchmaking service, a nonprofit that introduces singles in the Sephardic community.
Members see the introductions their matchmaker has made for them, read about the person they are being introduced to, and say how a date went, in one place rather than across text messages and phone calls.
Matchmakers use the same app for their side of the work: the roster of the singles they look after, the introductions they are considering, and the follow-ups they owe. What one matchmaker records, the office can see, so nobody is asked the same question twice.
Access is by invitation from the Mekudeshet office. If you are not a member yet, please visit mekudeshet.org.

Meetings: schedule staff meetings in person, by phone or by video, invite people or whole groups, and see who is coming. Your next meeting sits at the top of Home with Yes and No, and reminders arrive before it starts.
Coordinators can see who a single is allocated to, and who had them before, on the profile.
Dating history: tap anyone in it to open their profile.

What's new:
• Opening Admin no longer closes the app on some iPhones.
• Every mark a coordinator makes on a single now reaches the office, with a list of them under Due from me.
• Coordinators can search their list by name, and add and arrange photographs.
• Profile reports from matchmakers have their own section in All feedback, and can be marked fixed from there.
• On the Coordinators screen, notes, singles and couples open when tapped.
• You can withdraw a report you sent.
• New website sign-ups now enter the office flow.
• Smaller fixes.
5.2.1 3d ago
What's new:
• iPhone Duo: the app fills the inner screen when you open the phone, and turns sideways there.
• A profile opened from a link or a notification now fits its window on iPad and iPhone Duo, instead of cutting off the name and buttons.
• Smaller fixes.
5.2.0 3d ago
What's new:
• Matches on record: every category opens, the lists run in the order couples got engaged, and each card shows when it was last updated.
• Matchmakers: remove somebody from the list entirely, see when each matchmaker last used the app, and see a matchmaker's private-client history.
• Profiles: combine two profiles of the same person, and ask a matchmaker to update a match.
• Search finds people even when "May be dating" is hiding them, and there is a list of everybody marked Not community.
• Due from me has a Done recently section, and notifications say clearly what they are asking you to do.
• Smaller fixes.
5.1.9 Oct 23
What's new:
• Coordinators: a My list box at the top of Home, a Call button beside every person on the list, and each person's matchmaker shown on their row.
• Waiting: a Waiting on them tab, a Missing information mark, an Emailed button, and "No, two different people" when a match is suggested.
• Profiles: a Report button to send the office a correction, a way to send a photo for review, a Start a match button on every profile, and the approval history for approvers.
• Find a match shows NM, D or W on every card.
• Notifications have a To do tab.
• Smaller fixes.
5.1.8 Oct 18
What's new:
• A change to your role or permissions now shows up when you come back to the app, without closing it.
• Opening a second shared profile while one is already open now shows the new person.
• Age and height can be changed only by the office.
• Level of religion in My Profile is now a choice of five.
• Smaller fixes.
5.1.7 Oct 14
What's new:
• Find the right single now appears only for those who have access to suggested matches.
• Sign-up and My Profile say "About you".
• Smaller fixes.
5.1.6 Oct 8
What's new for the office:
• Notifications: a bell on Home lists every notification you've been sent, and tapping a notification now opens what it's about.
• Allocating: Had them before and the best-fit matchmakers on one screen, with each one's load, type and notes; Allocate works in one tap.
• Allocations: filter by age, area and who entered them, and move someone to the bottom of the list.
• "Allocated to" at the top of each profile.
• Smaller fixes from the office's feedback.
5.1.5 Oct 8
What's new for the office:
• Coordinators: My list, and a short confirmation after each step.
• When adding a single, Male or Female must be chosen; admins can correct it on a profile.
• Engaged couples: "They got married" is the main button.
• Viewing the app as someone else now shows exactly what they see.
• Smaller fixes from the office's feedback.
5.1.4 Oct 6
What's new for the office:
• Waiting shows who may already be on file, and Compare and merge folds a new sign-up into the existing profile.
• Coordinators: admins can open any coordinator's full list, and mark someone urgent so they come first.
• Internal matchmakers see and work only their own couples; everyone still sees the whole roster.
• The matchmaker list when allocating now shows everyone.
• Signing up yourself needs a photo of yourself.
• Smaller fixes from the office's feedback.
5.1.2 Oct 6
What's new for the office:
• Waiting for approval shows the date each person was added, and offers Not community, Declined, Under age and Test record.
• Marking a couple Engaged or Married now asks you to confirm, and only their matchmaker or an admin can do it.
• Marital status (NM, D or W) next to age and height on every profile.
• Dates read month first, and the number of dates is shown clearly on every couple.
• Coming back from a couple keeps your place, and Search opens at the top.
• The app stays light unless you choose Dark in Appearance.
• Stats and Waiting for approval are at the top of the Admin area.
• Many smaller fixes from the office's feedback.
5.1.1 Oct 2
A new way to follow each single through the office, from sign-up to their matchmaker and beyond. (It starts after Sukkot.)
• Where they are: each profile shows the step a single is on, whose it is, and when it is due.
• Due from me: what is waiting on you, overdue first.
• Weekly lists for coordinators.
Also new:
• Tap a notification to go straight to what it is about.
• Allocations and Private clients by matchmaker, for admins.
• Record a matchmaker from outside Mekudeshet on a match.
• Scanned resumes keep everything they read.
• Dating history shows who someone is dating now at the top.
• Engaged couples say Engaged, and Approve tells you why it was refused.

Mekudeshet has been rebuilt from the ground up.
If you are one of our singles, the app is yours now too. See the introductions your matchmaker has made for you, read about the person you are being introduced to, and tell us how a date went, in one place instead of across text messages and phone calls.
Already on our books? Enter your mobile number when you start and we will send you a code. Confirm it and we will fill in what we already hold, so you are updating your profile rather than beginning again. Anything we fill in is yours to change, delete or leave as it is.
For matchmakers, the roster is faster to search and easier to read, a match carries the whole history of an introduction, and the follow-ups you owe are gathered in one place rather than remembered.
Sign in with the details the office gave you. If you need them, please ask the office.
