My-Wordz is a simple, helpful language learning app that personalizes your learning to your needs. My-Wordz helps you learn relevant vocabulary quickly - by focusing your learning on the words, phrases, and basic grammar you need most. This is not 'tourist Chinese' - but an approach to learning the language as you actually want to use it.
With the support of My-Wordz you can learn exactly the words you need with proven language-learning techniques including flashcards, short videos, and tailored vocabulary.
Your learning journey depends on your interests and what you want to be able to talk about. There's no need to waste time learning vocabulary that isn't relevant to you - as you might in a high-school level curriculum. Learn rapidly - focusing on those words that are most relevant to you, while quickly picking up the structure and flow of Mandarin Chinese in context.
To facilitate your language learning, My-Wordz listens to you speak in English and identifies the key words and phrases you use in your regular speech. My-Wordz uses AI to extract the most important words and translates these into Mandarin Chinese, creating personalized flashcards for you! Accessible, repeatable videos are provided via YouTube to support your learning.
To improve your recall, your flashcards are delivered in "spaced repetition" and pronunciation is modeled as spoken by native Mandarin Chinese speakers. Audio examples are provided to further support your pronunciation along with your understanding of how new words fit together.
My-Wordz works particularly well as a complementary learning support alongside one-on-one language lessons. The system enables you to base your live lessons on the vocabulary you wish to learn in relation to your "real life."
You will rapidly build your vocabulary through supported word recognition and pronunciation practice. And the horizon for functional acquisition of Mandarin Chinese is not far off. With around 1,000 words in your vocabulary, you will be conversant in 72% of the spoken language!
