- The UGen Rehabilitation Platform is a Rx only device intended to provide interactive exercises and feedback to assist with the performance of rehabilitation exercises prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional. The system senses applicable body placement, provides live corrective feedback, if necessary, records exercise participation, patient progress, and performance data for professional review related to the rehabilitation of the limbs, trunk, and joints. In addition, the Platform is intended to document patient participation and progress, including documentation of conservative therapy activities and patient-reported information, which may be used by healthcare professionals to aid in the professional review of rehabilitation progress and administrative processes.
- Safety Information
- Rx only. Not all patients are candidates. The decision to defer or proceed with exercise using the UGen Movement Intelligence Platform is made solely by the patient's Healthcare Provider in their clinical judgment. Use is contraindicated, unless specifically cleared by the patient's Healthcare Provider, in the presence of: any open wound that is not healing well or is infected, or any post-operative wound; skin lesions, skin breakdown, or loss of skin integrity where the device would be placed; hemodynamic instability or other serious medical condition limiting physical rehabilitation; acute systemic illness, fever, or active infection; acute stroke; pain or deformity limiting movement of target joints; epilepsy or other risk of seizure; unexplained swelling or signs or symptoms of a clot; or inability to safely perform the prescribed exercises or follow device instructions. Additional contraindications may apply depending on the patient's condition, surgery, or co-morbidities. Possible adverse events include temporary muscle soreness or fatigue, joint or soft-tissue pain, skin irritation or pressure marks where the device or strap contacts the skin, and loss of balance or a fall while exercising. Stop exercising and contact your Healthcare Provider before resuming if you experience sharp, severe, worsening, or unusual pain. Seek urgent medical help immediately for chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, signs of stroke, severe dizziness, sudden weakness, suspected blood clot symptoms, or severe allergic reaction — do not contact UGen support in place of emergency services. Do not use the sensors in water or where they may become wet, and do not use the device while it is charging.
