Your apps unlock when you move. Pick the apps that eat your time, set a goal like 8,000 steps or 20 push-ups, and Fitlock keeps them locked until you've done it.
Prefer a reward? Switch to Earn, and every walk, workout or set of squats earns you more screen time. Either way, you move more and scroll less.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose the apps to lock: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, games, whole categories or websites.
2. Pick a goal: steps, a run, a ride, a workout, push-ups counted by your camera, or just getting to the gym.
3. Choose how it pays off. Unlock: hit your goal and your apps open for the rest of the day. Earn: build up screen time as you move.
4. Get moving. Fitlock follows your progress through Apple Health and opens your apps the moment you've earned them.
NEW: INSIGHTS, STREAKS AND HOLIDAYS
• Insights shows how moving more shrinks your screen time, by day, week or month
• Every Monday, get a story of your week to look back on and share
• Spot your patterns, like the day you move most, and see how far you've come since you joined
• Keep your screen time history for good, not just the four weeks Apple keeps
• Every schedule builds a streak, with milestones to celebrate as it grows
• Need a day off? Take a holiday and your streak stays safe
MOVE YOUR WAY
• Steps, walking and running, cycling, workouts and meditation
• Wheelchair pushes and distance
• Push-ups and squats, counted by your iPhone's camera from any angle. No wearable needed
• Location goals: unlock your apps when you reach the gym, the office or the park
• Wearing an Apple Watch? Calories, exercise and stand minutes, time outside and swimming count too
• Workouts from apps like Strava, Peloton or Garmin count as well, once they're in Apple Health
STAY IN CONTROL
• Schedules for the times that matter: mornings, evenings, work hours, even overnight
• A starting allowance, like 30 minutes of Instagram, before the lock kicks in
• Short breaks for when you really need one
• Block a few apps, or everything except the ones you choose
• Choose how firm Fitlock is, up to Strict mode, which stops you editing a schedule while it runs
• Block App Store purchases and adult websites too
• Home Screen widgets show your progress at a glance
YOUR QUESTIONS
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Your iPhone counts your steps and your camera counts your reps. A Watch just adds more goals.
What if I really need an app?
Take a short break whenever you need one, or give yourself a starting allowance each day.
How is this different from Screen Time limits?
A limit is easy to ignore. With Fitlock, you open your apps by moving, so every unlock makes your day a bit healthier.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up
• Built on Apple's Screen Time API, so what you do in your apps stays private on your iPhone
• Your camera counts reps on your iPhone, and the video never leaves it

I got this app a long time ago and have seen it get better and better getting rid of bugs. I was using the workout to unlock features. With a recent update tho it made it so that was a pro feature, and that was the only reason I used the app. So I will be uninstalling and looking for others unless they change it back.

Hi, thanks for sticking with Fitlock for so long and watching it improve. It means a lot, and I’m really sorry this change hit the feature you used most. You’re right that workout unlocking is now part of Pro. At the same time, I’ve added more to the free plan, including camera push-up detection, so you can still earn screen time by moving without paying anything.I’m always trying to find the right balance between a generous free plan and keeping Fitlock sustainable, so I can keep building it into the best move-to-earn screen time app out there. Every Pro subscription goes straight back into new features and improvements.I’d love for you to give push-ups a go before you uninstall. If there’s something that would make the free plan work better for you, please let me know. Feedback like yours really does shape what I build next. 💪
Just what I needed

After spending a few too many nights being unproductive and mindlessly scrolling, I thought, there must be something out there to help me increase my step count and decrease screen time. Fitlock has worked wonders in helping me reach my goals! After about 6 months of using this app as intended, my overall screen time is half what it used to be and I’ve more than tripled my daily steps. I tried a few similar apps (there really only are a few out there) and this one is easily the best overall. I am so glad I found it, and I’ve been recommending it to all of my friends!
Developer Response
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm thrilled to hear Fitlock helped you cut your screen time and boost your daily steps. Really appreciate you recommending it to your friends! 😊
Some suggestions
Huntress-Wizard
I like this app a lot, but I’d suggest setting a limit to how many breaks you can take and having a sick day option. Maybe you can earn them as you go along. Also the lock doesn’t always work :/
Developer Response
Thank you for your review and feedback.Currently there is a feature that makes you have to wait longer the more breaks you take. But adding a limit is a great idea, and I really like the idea of a sick day option. I'll add your suggestions to my backlog and hope to implement them soon. 🙂
Great App

What's new in 1.9.0:
• Meet Insights: see how moving more shrinks your screen time, by day, week or month. Every Monday, get a story of your week to look back on and share.
• Streaks for every schedule: each day a schedule runs adds to its streak, with milestones to celebrate as it grows. If Fitlock Pro lapses, your streak pauses instead of breaking.
• Take a holiday: give a schedule a day off without breaking its streak. Set how many you get in the schedule's settings.
• Step goals now count your iPhone's latest steps straight away, without waiting for Apple Health to catch up.
• Push-ups and squats are now counted wherever you put your phone.
• If Screen Time counts use from your other devices, Fitlock now lets you know and shows you how to fix it.
• Polish and fixes: your schedule's padlock springs open when you've earned your time, distances always show in your chosen units, and widgets, the location picker and the camera are more reliable.
