Stuck on a call that won't end? Bail plays a believable knock, doorbell, barking dog or ringing phone, so you have a reason to go.
Bail gives you a believable reason to leave a call.
One click in the menu bar plays a knock at the door, the doorbell, a barking dog, kids arguing or a ringing phone, loud enough for the call to hear. Then you say you have to get that, and go.
GET OUT OF ANY CALL
• Eight kinds of interruption, each with several real recordings, plus sounds of your own
• Play them from the menu bar, from a floating pad beside your call, or with a keyboard shortcut
• Press again to stop
PLAN YOUR ESCAPE
• Arm the rescue timer before a call: 1, 5 or 10 minutes, or any time up to two hours
• When it runs out, Bail plays your escalation, such as a knock, then the doorbell, then the dog
• Choose the sounds and the pauses between them
THE CALL YOU CAN'T IGNORE
• While the phone rings, an incoming-call alert from the caller you choose appears on screen
• It stays visible when you share your screen, so everyone sees it
HEARD, EVEN IN HEADPHONES
• Bail plays through your Mac's built-in speakers, so the call's microphone picks it up even when you wear headphones
• Or choose any other output
MAKE IT YOURS
• Pick the recording for each sound, or Random so it's different every time
• Set a volume for each sound, and loop the ones that should keep going
• Add your own sounds and give their category a name
• Change every keyboard shortcut
WORKS THE WAY YOU DO
• The floating pad appears when your microphone turns on and hides when the call ends
• Shortcuts app and Siri: "Bail me out", "Rescue me with Bail", "Play doorbell with Bail"
• bail:// links to trigger sounds from launchers and control decks
• Launch at login, and VoiceOver support throughout
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Bail collects no personal data. It checks whether your microphone is in use so it can show the floating pad, but it never records or listens. Crash reports are sent only if you agree.
Requires macOS 12 or later. Shortcuts and Siri actions need macOS 13 or later.
