The GolfDaddy simulator has a lot of potential. The practice mode works well, and it does a solid job analyzing golf swings, contact, and divots. For working on technique, it performs exactly as expected.However, when switching over to play a nine-hole round, the simulator consistently fails to recognize swings. This makes the gameplay portion unreliable and impossible to enjoy the way it’s intended.If GolfDaddy can fix the swing-recognition issues in the course-play mode, this would be a fantastic product. The foundation is already there—the concept is great, the practice tools are effective, and the overall experience could be excellent with that one major improvement.

I was very excited to finally be able to work on my irons and wedges at home without spending a fortune on expensive swing monitors. It was not to be the case. The set up was easy, it right off the get-go, the stand was wonky and weak. Constant manipulation to center the camera was chaffing the cheap plastic and loosening the shoddy stand pegs. I finally had to get a microphone stand just to get it to stay still once I lined up the mat. Even then, one out of 30 times I said the words “take shot” it would actually do so. Then, I would have to watch myself in slow motion for what seemed like a whole minute. Then - the shot would be about half what it would be on the range. Even when striped. And when I push the button to take shot, it would move the camera and I would have to reset the whole thing again. The price was worth the try - but it is just another example of Temu level quality of “you get what you pay for”. Right idea. Poor performance.Slow and clunky. Golf GrandDaddy would be more appropriate. Beginners - you are better off buying a net and pad with this money. At least you’ll benefit from ball contact.1/5 Stars

Bad app good idea

So I finally got the app to calibrate which took numerous times to move the mat in the right spot and get aligned properly. The bad news is the app itself. I constantly crashes or has you redo the shot. It’s poorly made and the full potential to play a round of golf is impossible. The app needs to be upgraded to avoid constant crashing and have better distance measurement. The concept is awesomely but useless if the app doesn’t work. Also the phone has to be in vertical alignment to video your swing which defeats the entire TV mode. Sorry you got to do better.

Doesn’t work at all! Doesn’t matter what club you hit, the ball never goes farther than 50 yards and is always left. I’ve tried inside and outside trying to make sure I can do a full swing and nothing changes. Doesn’t even come close to simulating real golf. My wife got it for me for Father’s Day and it is a big let down and waste of money.The app also leaves you sad, always freezing and very slow to load. It doesn’t seem like the camera frame is long enough to fit tall people either. I’m 6’3” and where they have you position the mat always leaves my head out unless I really bend at the knees (not how I stand for my golf shot) or the club leaves the frame since my arms are long.Was hoping it would be a fun in house game but missed big time
