Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
All 701 verses with every word explained, a dozen translations and the great commentaries — Śaṅkara, Rāmānuja, Madhva, Sivananda — free, offline and without ads.
Gita All-In-One is a free, ad-free companion for studying the Śrīmad Bhagavad Gītā — verse by verse, word by word, with the commentaries of the great teachers.
READ EVERY VERSE PROPERLY
All 701 verses, laid out as they are meant to be read: two lines for the anuṣṭubh verses, four for the longer triṣṭubh verses, the speaker shown separately and the verse number in your script's own numerals. Each verse comes with its transliteration and your chosen translation. Swipe to move to the next verse.
UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD
Tap any word in a verse to see its meaning, its root, and its grammar — case, number, gender, tense — and step through the verse word by word. Word-by-word meanings can come from Swami Sivananda, Swami Swarupananda (1909) or Swami Mukundananda; grammatical analysis is from the Digital Corpus of Sanskrit.
THE GREAT COMMENTARIES
Read the Sanskrit commentaries of Śrī Śaṅkarācārya, Rāmānujācārya, Madhvācārya, Śrīdhara Svāmī, Madhusūdana Sarasvatī, Vedānta Deśika, Abhinavagupta and others, Śaṅkara's Bhāṣya in English (A. Mahadeva Sastri), and the Hindi and English commentaries of Swami Ramsukhdas, Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Sivananda.
• Search inside the commentaries and jump straight to the passage
• Filter by school — Advaita, Viśiṣṭādvaita, Dvaita and more — and by language
• Pin the commentators you study with so they're always first
• Read Sanskrit commentaries in Devanagari, Telugu or IAST
COMPARE TRANSLATIONS
A dozen translations in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil — including Swami Gambhirananda, Swami Sivananda, Swami Swarupananda, Shri Purohit Swami and Annie Besant — side by side. Trace a single Sanskrit word across all of them to see how each translator understood it.
HIGHLIGHT, NOTE AND KEEP
Select any words in a translation or commentary to highlight them in one of four colours, copy or share them, or add them to your personal notes. Bookmarks, notes, highlights, reading history and your progress through all 18 chapters live together in the Library.
SEARCH THE WHOLE GITA
One search box understands verse numbers ("2.47"), Sanskrit in any script, romanised words with or without diacritics ("karmanye"), and English or Hindi phrases across every translation and commentary.
CHANTING MODE
Read a chapter — or the whole Gita — as one continuous stream of verses, with the current verse lit up and gentle auto-scroll, chapter colophons and all.
