Never lose a shot to a slow drive. Recording ProRes to an external SSD is one of the best things you can do with your iPhone Pro, until the drive can't keep up and your footage stutters, drops frames or stops recording. REC Disk Speed Test tells you whether your drive is up to the job before you hit record. Plug in your USB-C drive, tap Start, and get a clear answer in seconds. WHAT YOU GET • Real write speed: See exactly how fast your drive writes, in MB/s, measured on your own iPhone. • A clear verdict: Color-coded results tell you at a glance whether your drive is ready for everything, most things, or only lighter formats. • Format-by-format breakdown: Check marks for HEVC 4K60, HEVC HDR, and ProRes 10-bit HDR at 1080p30, 4K30 and the demanding 4K60. • File system check: Find out right away whether your drive's format is supported for video capture, so you don't discover a problem on set. • Drive details: Name, capacity and free space, all on one screen. PERFECT FOR • Filmmakers and content creators shooting ProRes on iPhone • Testing a new SSD before a shoot, or before you buy more • Comparing drives, cables and enclosures to find the fastest setup • Peace of mind before an important recording Free, simple, and built by the team behind REC and Photon Camera. FROM LATENITESOFT Pair your tested drive with REC to record cinematic video in any format straight to external storage, or with Photon Camera to shoot stunning photos directly to your drive. Requires iPhone 15 Pro or a later Pro model with USB-C external storage support.

Easy to use but marred by bugs. The Start button’s sensitivity is poor, often requiring multiple taps to register.
