I am so in love with this game. I've played IkeSen, IkeVamp, IkeRev, and IkePri, but IkeVil has got my heart completely. Unlike the other Ikemen series games, IkeVil has wonderfully, tightly woven plot. There are no plot armors that magically push the plot forward. Everything proceeds logistically, and I am just so thrilled at how wonderfully the story is written (and beautifully too! The language enraptures me; the imagery, the similes, the metaphors! Ah!) There was not one instance where I stopped and complained about how brainless the storyline was (like how I have with the other ikemen games). I am currently reading William's route, and William's character design is also fantastic (thoroughly explained background, why he acts the way he does, his nuanced "evilness", everything about him captures me). And of course, the art, the music, the VOICE ACTING. Ack, I am swooned! Oh! And last but not least, the MC actually has brains! I was able to stay on the same thought wavelength the entire route! That was such a pleasant surprise, given the innocent, naive, all-courage-but-no-brains MC types in the other ikemen games. I am delighted with how easily I am able to self-insert into this MC given the level of similarity we think.

I have to say that this is really great. Whether it is the painter's skills shown in painting or the voice, the most important thing is that the companionship of this game surprises me. However, the disadvantage is that there are too few language settings in this game. I have to use a translator. I hope there will be a Chinese version in the future. In addition, I also hope that I can feel more companionship in the game, such as chatting with them on their mobile phones or listening to songs and doing things together. In addition, I would like to ask if it is possible to add ASMR for different roles? It's as if he helped me fall asleep under some circumstances.

I really like the characters. I wish there would be more specialized/exclusive event cards that the player can collect as an award for completing their stories. The price for in-game currency is a little pricey imo which discourages me from playing the gachas to get the cards but I do like their affordable monthly subscription so far. I think I would love it more overall if each character’s story could be bought instead of these challenges you’d have to complete to continue further into their stories. It makes me feel more inclined to just watch their stories instead of experiencing it myself. And for any additional side-stories would be an additional fee. Similar to consoles. Nothing really entices me to play their gacha right now lol

Unfortunately I just started the story and it’s already the trope of she doesn’t even try to escape or fight back, I’m sorry but any normal person in that situation wouldn’t be admiring their kidnappers?? Like she literally stands there and is like “oh uhm thank you kidnapper for catching me after scaring me half to death! You’re so beautiful!” Honestly it’s a tiring trope in these otome stories or really any genius stories, also have a sneaky suspicion I’ll have to pay rubies just to enjoy the story. Honestly I wish otomania would take an example from Tokyo debunker or obey me’s shall we date. I mean the immediate jump into “oh no.. well this is my life now :)” is so cheesy and repetitive, it’s seriously in all of their stories. Also it’s like we don’t get any personality of our own that we can decide on. So much to improve on tbh.
