I really wanted to like this app, but there were too many significant barriers preventing me from being able to utilize it. By far the biggest issue was that I received three ads, all on the longer side, before I was even able to enter and save my very first debt! That alone renders the app practically unusable. I get that it’s a free app and the developer is trying to monetize, but this is a complete turn off that will make users flee the app, thereby making monetization impossible! I would have been happy to pay a small fee to remove the ads for a while at least. The developer also could have included other options if monetization was the point, but if nothing is expected removing it altogether would probably be best. I’m also usually happy to “tip” a developer that puts out a quality app, but this isn’t it.Aside from the ad volume making the app impossible to use, the language is quite vague and there’s no real explanation what certain things mean. I just tried to return to the app to give a couple of solid examples, but it almost immediately went into yet another ad!I can say that the term “payoff pressure” is not standard and it took me a bit until I realized that it simply was showing the expected principal along with interest over the next six months. This just wasn’t intuitive. Additionally, the “Learn” tab went to a perpetually empty screen for me. For reference I am using iPadOS 26. Lastly, inputting additional payments was not easy to figure out either as the system with the “on/off” buttons just didn’t logically flow for me.I can’t remember the last time that I felt I was obligated to give an app just a one star review, it’s been that long, if ever, but this definitely meets the criteria as I literally couldn’t use it simply due to the outrageous ad volume! Even if I could “use” the app, the non-intuitive nature would have limited the review to just two or three stars at best. I absolutely cannot recommend this app in good faith, and after trying similar apps, it’s pretty clear that I will need to pay to get something of value in this particular genre.
Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your detailed and honest feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience with the app was frustrating, especially due to the volume of ads you encountered before even being able to input your first debt. We completely understand how disruptive that must have been, and we agree — user experience should never be compromised by monetization strategies. We also appreciate your comments regarding the unclear terminology (such as "Payoff Pressure"), the non-functional "Learn" tab, and the confusing flow when inputting extra payments. These are valuable insights, and we’ve taken careful note of them.Your feedback is a strong reminder that first impressions are critical, and we clearly missed the mark. We're currently reevaluating our ad implementation, and will be working on a significant update to improve the overall usability, including clearer language, a more intuitive design, and an option to remove ads via a small fee — something we now realize should have been available from the start.Thank you again for your honest review. While we're disappointed we let you down this time, we hope you'll consider giving the app another try in the future once improvements have been made.
