Aurora Hills: Chapter 2 has been officially released! Find it now on the App Store!
Welcome to Aurora Hills!
Nestled deep within the Appalachian Mountains, Aurora Hills was known for its thriving industry and its picturesque landscape. Owing to the region's natural resources, Aurora Hills was looking to become one of the most prosperous towns in the state.
All is not how it seems, however. A series of disappearances of residents and tourists alike have plagued the region over the past few years, sparking a mass exodus from the small town. Now, in October 1981, the town is a shell of its former self. The prosperity that once blessed Aurora Hills has all but evaporated.
Working as a park ranger, you must investigate what's going on with these disappearances and answer questions that have tormented residents for years. Why has there been an increase in disappearances over the past 6 months? Why are there no traces of the people who went missing? Perhaps most importantly, who, or what, could be behind all of this? It's up to you to venture forth, deep into the national park, to uncover the mysteries of Aurora Hills...
Developed by the creators of Meridian 157, Aurora Hills: Chapter 1 is the first part in series of point and click puzzle adventure games. Based in the year 1981 in a small West Virginian community, Aurora Hills follows the journey of Ethan Hill, a park ranger tasked with investigating strange disappearances from the region. 6-year-old's review with help from Dad

Wow, I really liked this game! Although I do wonder how did the compass, the car keys, and the other keys get stuck in such crazy places! I especially liked that this game is so silly ... how those things got in those weird places. When will chapter 2 come out?? Can't wait!By the way, the camera that takes pictures in the game shows very low quality pictures that can't always be used to refer back to. (We took pictures of the screen with our phone instead.)So there's my review, bye! Parent's note: The game definitely requires adult skills, but it was a good one to play together. No graphic material, only a slightly scary implication of what might have happened to the missing persons.
Incredible game, but be prepared to think outside the box!

There’s a lot to say about this game, it’s hard to know where to start! I picked it up because I had to do a game review for my class, and I like puzzle games, but I actually really enjoyed it! The graphics in this game are just phenomenal, not to mention the gorgeous soundtrack and smooth graphics! For the most part, the puzzles are well done and I really like the hint system. There were a few of them (like the string board) that weren’t particularly intuitive to me and I got part of the way but genuinely couldn’t figure out the rest. I’m honestly not sure if I missed a clue somewhere for that one, because I don’t know how I was supposed to get the answer, but that could just be a me thing. :) Also, the one with the star signs, I had the correct solution but it never solved for me, I’m not sure how that happened? It’d be nice if there was some form of “check your answer” system. Like a lock you could click when you think you have the solution instead of just waiting for the clicking sound. Overall, though, I had a pretty good time and it was fun to break out the old pen and paper to solve some of these. I hope that the next chapters are already in production, because I’m looking forward to their release!
Beautiful, suspenseful yet relaxing

Honestly this game is amazing. Please make chapter 2 and I honestly would pay to see this develop into a long series. I find most hidden adventure games too dark and gloomy, and graphics not realitic enough. Finally, a game that offers a realistic environment, a relaxing feel and manages to make the exploration fun yet suspenseful without everything looking really dark and dated looking fairytale themed. Finally a modern setting for an immersice adventure game. Gameplay is also appropriately challenging yet fun. I am giving a solid 4.8 or 4.9 now, but if the creator can add some interactive characters with voice-overs with whom the protagonist can talk to would make this more immersive and even more fun.
Loved it!

I absolutely loved this. I played all the Meridian games, so was very excited to see this. I'm hoping it won't be too long for the other chapters to be available, as these are some of the best games out there. Like another reviewer, I agree that some of the hiding places for things are a bit odd (compass, for example), but whatever the case, I'm happy to play. The visuals are very realistic and the storyline is compelling. Hoping to get some kind of notification when other chapters become available! Thanks to all who created this!
