This update is all about Siri. Every action in Unplugged that's worth automating is now a shortcut you can ask for or build into an automation. My favorite so far: plugging in the phone automatically starts the charging animation and the Live Activity. It shows up on your wrist too, without you having to think about it. Curious what you come up with! New - Siri: Ask for your battery level, forecast, thermal state, or report. - Siri: Add or remove battery alerts by voice. - Siri: Start or stop Live Activity tracking hands-free. - Siri: Check your paired Watch battery from the iPhone. - Dashboard: New Batteries section shows iPhone and Apple Watch together. - App Icons: Five new Liquid Glass icons, picker organized by color. - Settings: Browse the full release history offline in What's New. - Settings: Chat with the developer under Support and Feedback. Improvements - Onboarding: The final screen now recognizes active and returning subscribers. Fixes - Onboarding: Fixed a crash on first launch for new users. - Watch: Fixed the Watch app being killed after background updates. - Complications: Fixed the charging icon when iPhone and Watch languages differed. - Complications: Fixed complications freezing after failed background updates. - Watch Faces: Fixed the app freezing while adding a Watch face. - Live Activity: Fixed Lock Screen updates stopping after unplugging and replugging. - Widgets: Fixed widgets going stale after push delivery failures. - Translations: Fixed missing numbers in some translated battery sentences.

Version 3.9.1 We fixed two crashes that were impacting some users. Dashboard charts now stay stable on iPhone, and the Watch app no longer gets killed after background updates. If you’ve been seeing either issue, it should be resolved in this build. You can now control when notifications happen. Set your active hours and choose whether alerts only fire while charging, while on battery, or at all times. That means fewer unwanted low-battery pings in the middle of the night, like at 2am, when you’d rather not be interrupted. We also rebuilt the onboarding flow for a smoother start, tuned Live Activity updates so the Lock Screen stays better aligned with your charging state, and refreshed the Feature Requests screen with an updated layout. Stay tuned for some more goodies in September!

What's New This update rethinks how you get started with Unplugged, makes the lock screen battery readout more trustworthy, and quietly lays the groundwork for some experimental stuff to come. New: A Rebuilt Onboarding I rebuilt onboarding from scratch. Instead of throwing every option at you up front, it now asks what you actually want out of the app and sets things up around that. Hopefully it feels less like homework and more like it gets you. A More Reliable Live Activity I put real work into the Live Activity on your lock screen. It now updates more often and more reliably while you're charging, so the battery number you glance at is actually current instead of a few minutes stale. New: Beta Toggle There's a new Beta toggle in Settings. Right now it doesn't do anything, but if you flip it on, any experimental features I'm testing will show up here automatically as they land. Turn it on once and forget about it. Stay tuned. New: Notifications Schedule You can now choose when battery alerts reach you. Set active hours so they stay quiet overnight, and if you want, limit them to only while charging or only while on battery. Fixed: Truncated Percentage Pills I fixed a small but genuinely annoying bug where the percentage pills during setup were getting cut off to "20…" instead of "20 %" on some iPhones. Under the Hood I quieted down a batch of noisy error reports that were cluttering my logs, so the real problems are easier to spot and fix. A Thank You Big thanks for the kind little tip from Germany. Getting a donation for my work still feels unreal, and it genuinely keeps me going when motivation runs low. If you'd like to leave a tip to help keep indie development alive, it means a lot. You can find the option in Settings.

Whats New This update brings a brand-new way to plan around your battery, sharper predictions, and a much easier way to share your issues. New: Battery Agenda See your battery outlook next to your calendar. Battery Agenda connects your scheduled events to your battery forecast, so you can instantly tell if you have enough charge for your meeting, flight, or night out. It also helps you avoid surprises by letting you set a charge reminder when you expect to run low. Smarter, steadier predictions We fixed several issues that could skew your time remaining estimate. Your battery predictions are now more accurate and more stable, with fewer sudden, unrealistic changes. More reliable alerts Your fully-charged notification now arrives every time, so you always know when its time to unplug. Accessibility Full VoiceOver support across whole the app has been drastically improved, so Unplugged works great for everyone. Better Bug Reporting Have a problem? Report it right from the app. Choose the issue type, add a note or screenshot, and tap Send. If you want a reply, enable Let us follow up. Reports are delivered instantly with better context so I can fix issues faster. French Locale Crash Fixed French language was experiencing crashes with History Charts. This should be resolved now!

Small but significant update to improve complications and widgets. We refreshed the FAQ with clear answers to the questions we hear most, and added a new section to help you dial in the ideal setup for the best app experience. What’s improved Complications and widgets - Fewer issues related to complications - Smoother day-to-day performance so your key info stays reliable Auto-updating complications - More dependable infrastructure so complications stay current automatically - To get auto-updates, make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are updated to the latest watchOS and iOS 26 the benefits from these changes

We updated the paywalls to clearly show what you unlock with Premium, so you can see the value before you subscribe. We also fixed an issue where the app could hang on older devices running watchOS 10.

Two small but meaningful fixes: • Notifications occasionally decided to take the day off. They're back on the clock. • Complications now auto-update more reliably across every variant (except SmartStack One)

We’ve added more performance and reliability fixes in smaller batches so updates roll out faster and are easier to verify. This release focuses on: - Battery history stability: fixing issues where battery history could look incorrect or fail to update as expected. - Notification fixes: resolving cases where notifications would not trigger. - Onboarding improvements: smoothing key steps so you reach your setup faster and with fewer interruptions. Expect more updates soon!

Enhanced the app's reliability and performance for a smoother experience. A key update resolves a background update issue some users experienced with certain devices, ensuring your app runs seamlessly and stays up-to-date without interruptions.

What's New in Version 3.7 Hello battery enthusiasts! This update is a bit different. There are no flashy new features to announce — instead, I spent over a month rebuilding Unplugged from the inside out to make it more stable and reliable. Fewer Crashes, Fewer Freezes I tracked down and fixed issues that could cause the app to occasionally freeze or crash in the background. If you ever experienced a random hang or force-close, this update should make a noticeable difference. Smoother Watch Syncing The way your iPhone and Apple Watch communicate has been completely rebuilt. Battery data should now sync more consistently to your Watch and complications. Better Battery Efficiency The app itself now runs more efficiently in the background, using less of the battery it's helping you monitor. Faster Bug Fixes Going Forward I've added better crash reporting (fully privacy-respecting — no personal data collected) so that if something does go wrong, I can catch and fix it much faster. Why This Matters I know a stability update isn't the most exciting thing to read about. But after more than a month of work, this is the foundation everything else gets built on. There's still more stability work to come, but I didn't want to hold back all these improvements any longer — you deserve a smoother experience now. With a healthier codebase, new features will come faster and with more confidence. There's a lot planned — stay tuned.

What's New in Version 3.6 Hello battery enthusiasts! This update has been a labor of love. I've built features I've been wanting to add for a long time, and I'm genuinely excited to share them with you. Battery History See how your battery has been performing over time. Choose from five time windows: 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 3 days, or 7 days. Shorter ranges show a detailed line chart with charging periods highlighted. Longer ranges switch to daily bars showing your lowest to highest battery level each day. Above the chart, you'll find your average drain rate, like a fitness tracker, but for your battery. Note: Battery History is a premium feature. Battery Forecast Unplugged now learns from your battery patterns to predict when you'll need to charge, or when you'll be fully charged if plugged in. The prediction uses machine learning that adapts to your usage, combined with traditional statistical methods. The more you use the app, the smarter it gets. Confidence indicators show how reliable the prediction is based on available data. If your battery is draining faster or slower than usual, the app will tell you. Note: Battery Forecast is a premium feature. Smart Stack Widget Improvements Your Apple Watch Smart Stack widgets now update more frequently. Widgets proactively refresh every hour with multiple timeline entries. If you've been frustrated by stale battery data, this should help. Share the App Enjoying Unplugged? Find the new share button in Settings below "Follow the Developer" to share it with friends and family. Bug Fixes - Fixed premium features appearing locked on Apple Watch after purchasing - Fixed a rare crash when saving battery data while suspended - New features now appear correctly after updating without restart - Fixed device icons rendering incorrectly in Smart Stack widget Big Thanks Special thanks to Yugi for his detailed feedback shaping these new features, and to Keith for reporting the complication issue! I'm considering complications for Battery History and Forecast — maybe showing predicted time until empty or a glanceable history chart. If you'd love that, let me know via email, review, feature request, or a five-star rating. That feedback really helps me figure out what to work on next.

What's New in Version 3.5 Hello battery enthusiasts! This update brings something I'm genuinely excited about - a feature that started as an experiment and turned into something much cooler. Charging Animations Unplugged now has charging animations! Choose from 4 different animations with customizable colors in the new Dashboard section. But here's where it gets interesting: when you use charging animations together with Live Activities, your Live Activity becomes truly live. Previously, Live Activities updated every 8-15 minutes. Now, with a charging animation active, your Apple Watch Live Activity shows real-time battery values. No internet connection needed - just turn on the charging animation and your Live Activity, and you'll always have current information. You can use charging animations on their own, pair them with Live Activities for real-time updates, or continue using Live Activities the traditional way. This was fun to build, and if you enjoy it, I'm happy to add more animations in future updates. Note: Charging animations are a premium feature. Start Live Activity from Notifications You can now start a Live Activity directly from battery notifications. Enable the toggle in notification settings, and actions will appear in your notifications (like your 50% battery alert). Just tap to launch the Live Activity instantly. Note: This is a premium feature. Behind the Scenes Blog I've started a blog to share development updates, behind-the-scenes thoughts, and gather your feedback on upcoming features. Read it directly in the app or subscribe to the newsletter to be part of the journey. A Huge Thank You Special thanks to HotshotTek for featuring Unplugged in his video. The attention and support from his community has been incredibly motivating and brought so many new users to the app. To everyone who discovered Unplugged through his video - welcome! I'm constantly working to improve the app, so please share any feedback you have. As always, I read every bug report and feature request you submit. Your feedback shapes the future of Unplugged.

New in Version 3.4 Hello battery enthusiasts! This update brings a fresh new look to Unplugged. A Fresh New Icon Unplugged has a beautiful new app icon! Huge thanks to Yugi Motta for his incredible design work - he created so many amazing options that I couldn't choose just one. So premium users now have 9 different icons to choose from. The main icon has been updated for everyone, but if you're a premium user, explore the alternatives in settings. They're all fantastic. Supporting Great Design Yugi and I have collaborated on a translation app that showcases his excellent design style. If you appreciate the design improvements in Unplugged (honestly, anything that looks good here is thanks to him), check out his app in the "More Apps from the Developer" section in Settings. Your support means a lot to indie developers like us! App Store Screenshots Updated The App Store screenshots now accurately reflect how Unplugged looks with the iOS 26 redesign. If you're considering recommending the app to friends, they'll now see exactly what they're getting! Bug Reporting Reminder The improved bug reporting with detailed logs has already helped identify and fix several issues. If you're experiencing any problems, please use the "Report Bug" button in the app - the logs make it much easier to track down what's going wrong. A Huge Thank You Thank you for your continued support and patience as I work through improvements. I know there's still plenty to do! Exciting new features are coming soon once everyone is happy with stability! As always, I read every bug report and feature request you submit. Your feedback shapes the future of Unplugged.

What’s New in Version 3.3 Hello battery enthusiasts! This update focuses on one critical improvement: automatic complication updates on Apple Watch. Automatic Complication Updates Complications should now update automatically without needing to open the Apple Watch app. I know this feature has been inconsistent and working on and off for many users – I apologize for the frustration this has caused. This release significantly improves reliability, and your battery information should stay current throughout the day. Note: This update specifically improves complications on your watch face. Smart Stack widgets will continue to receive improvements in future updates. Bug Reporting Improvements If you’re still experiencing any issues, the bug report feature now captures much more detailed diagnostic information. Simply tap “Report Bug” in the app and the logs will help me track down and fix problems as quickly as possible. A Huge Thank You Thank you for your continued support and patience as I work through these improvements. Unplugged will continue to get better with each update, and exciting new features are coming soon! As always, I read every bug report and feature request you submit. Your feedback shapes the future of Unplugged.

Hello battery enthusiasts! This is a focused update that makes battery notifications work the way they should. Battery Notification Improvements Many of you reported that battery alerts weren’t firing consistently. This update fixes that issue. Battery notifications should now trigger reliably when your battery reaches your configured thresholds. Low battery alerts are especially improved, ensuring you get notified when your battery is running low. The update also prevents duplicate notifications so you won’t receive multiple alerts for the same battery event. Under the Hood • Updated to the latest iOS SDK for better compatibility • Fixed internal version tracking issues As always, if you encounter any issues or have suggestions, please use the “report bug” bug in the app. Thank you for your continued support!

What's New in Version 3.1 Hello battery enthusiasts! After the major 3.0 redesign, this update shifts focus to stability and reliability improvements based on your feedback. Premium Subscription Improvements Premium features should now sync more reliably between your iPhone and Apple Watch for those experiencing issues. Subscription handling has been improved to reduce unexpected problems on some devices. This area continues to be actively improved. Apple Watch Updates Complications should now appear correctly and stay synced with your iPhone. Background updates have been improved so your battery information stays more current for affected devices. Further improvements to complication reliability are also in progress. Translation Fix Corrected the Simplified Chinese translation for charging status – it now properly shows "充电中" (charging) instead of "收费" (fee). Thanks to the community for catching this! Bug Reporting Improvements The bug report template now captures more diagnostic information to help resolve issues faster. The template also now works correctly across all languages, not just English. Bug Fixes • Fixed an issue where complications weren't appearing as available to install on some devices • Improved subscription syncing between devices • Better handling of connectivity issues • More reliable background updates for widgets and complications A Huge Thank You Special thanks to Joman Wong for spotting the embarrassing translation error in Simplified Chinese. Your attention to detail helps make Unplugged better for everyone. If anyone encounter any issues or have suggestions, please use the "report bug" tool in the app. I read every submission! As always, thank you for your patience and support as we continue improving Unplugged!

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

What's New New Feature • Added watch battery level display directly in the watch app (previously only available in complications)
