From the Developer
My original intention behind building Symoney was simple: I wanted a bookkeeping app that I’d genuinely enjoy opening every day. Many apps on the market either pack in too many features and become more complicated over time, or they are so minimal that they fall short when you really need something. Symoney is meant to be a balanced choice. It stays lightweight while focusing on the features people use most often and making them feel polished and reliable. The name “Symoney” comes from “Symphony” and “Money.” A symphony feels structured and harmonious, and that is the experience I want Symoney to deliver: a clean interface, a natural flow, clear records, and insights that are easy to understand. To me, minimalism is not about cutting features as much as possible; it is about keeping what truly matters and making every detail feel comfortable. If you want budgeting to feel like an easy daily habit rather than a task you have to force yourself to do, I hope Symoney can help. You are always welcome to share your ideas, suggestions, or questions, and I will keep improving the app so it fits real-world use cases even better.

4. Natural Language Search (Symoney+): You can now search bills using natural language for quicker, easier results. Open “Global Search,” then tap the magnifying-glass button to the left of the search field to enable Natural Language Search. (Note: Requires configuring an AI provider for Smart Quick Record.)
5. Home view switching: You can now choose how to switch Home views in Settings > Personalization > Home View Switching. “Classic” is Symoney’s default loop mode. Tap the logo in the top-left corner of Home to cycle through Day/Week/Month/Year in order. “Selector” provides a more intuitive slider. Tap any period to switch instantly.
6. Custom category sorting: In category cards, tap “Edit” in the top-right, then press and drag categories to reorder. The new order will automatically sync to the cloud and stay consistent across devices.

1. Image Enhancement Recognition Mode (requires "Symoney+"): Go to "Settings" - "Quick Record" - "Smart", and enable "Image Enhancement" mode. Symoney will then use the original image data to enhance bill content recognition, improving recognition accuracy. This may consume more tokens and slightly increase processing time. This feature requires multimodal model support. (Shortcut needs to be updated to SmartPilot v1.1.0)
2. Bill Merging: You can now select multiple bills of the same category and tap the "Merge" button to combine them. The merged bill will be based on the first selected bill’s data. The new bill will use the time, card, currency, and location of the first selected bill. Notes, amounts, tags, and image data will be merged. If the number of images exceeds 6, the excess will be automatically discarded.
3. Return View: After jumping to any bill from the leaderboard in the chart view, you can now tap the "Return" icon on the top left of the bill detail header to return to the previous view. Symoney will automatically scroll to the previously viewed category and expand the corresponding bills.
