Actually a fun game, if not subpar performance on M1 Air 8/256

I’m updating my review from 3 stars to 4 stars because I decided to adjust my settings and give it another try—and I can’t believe how much fun I’m having! Just played for 3 hours straight, and I’ll admit that I’m having a blast. I have all the settings bumped down to the lowest, but I do have 60fps turned on, and the game performs pretty well! I get anywhere between 45 - 60 fps, and there’s some stuttering, but nothing game breaking so far. I’m holding off on the 5th star only because I believe that the game could’ve been better optimized for Mac, since it’s been reported that even higher-end Apple Silicon Macs have some trouble with performance. On the lowest end, I don’t believe the game is that graphically intensive, so I think the developers could’ve done better on that end. Otherwise, it’s SUCH a fun game, and it genuinely makes it feel like mac gaming is on its way!

I played this game when it first launched on xbox, stopped playing for a couple years, got it on the Mac about 3-4 months ago and played a bit, hoped back on a little after the terraria update and ive been hooked since. Main down side is playing on a regular m4 with upgraded ram (basically not a pro m4) and I. Have to turn the graphics down to the lowest but the game still looks great, I think with some of the updates since I could turn it up but overall game runs and looks great so ill leave it be. I did mess with the settings giving me 20 pals and 6 bases and the game runs fine minus some pals in my main base don’t stay to their assigned places but its no big deal considering the only thing that really loads are tower bosses and and dungeon plus the dungeon bosses. All and all for $30 this game feels like it’s from a major company. Can not wait for this game to get out of early access. If anyone from pocket pair is reading this please please please add a jet pack just for fun

Great performance, just needs to be more cross multiple player compatibility.

The game is great along with the consistent performance the Mac is delivering. Only set back is that I still struggle playing multiplayer worlds with my friends. It won’t work at times and is a bit of a pain but that aside it’s great.

I downloaded this on my Mac thinking that it would be great and it was in the beginning. I had started my first game and it was a little laggy but bearable. When I closed the game out though and tried to literally just run my computer nothing would work. I don’t know if it took too much storage up or just too much data, but my laptop wouldn’t run anymore. I had to uninstall and restart my computer to fix the problem and even still my computer runs slow after it. It was a really cool game though and I would highly recommend to someone who can run games like this. I’m just sad because I was looking forward to playing.
