We’ve released an update to SAFPAS with improvements designed to better support food pantry operations and client access to healthy foods. This update enhances the eChoice experience for clients, making it easier to communicate food preferences and dietary needs, while streamlining volunteer management features for scheduling, coordination, and communication. We’ve also strengthened emergency preparedness tools to support real-time updates and reporting during periods of increased demand. Performance improvements and interface refinements have been made across the app to improve reliability, usability, and responsiveness for pantry staff, volunteers, and clients. Thank you for helping us strengthen food access and community resilience.

The SAFPAS App has now included the following features to support clients, volunteers, and directors: 1. Client can do a one-time preference input during onboarding and can later update the profile setting as needed 2. Client can reorder previous order with just a click, with the ability to update preferences before submission 3. Client now sees if their pantry is actively accepting orders 4. Volunteers can see the necessary information, including what not to include for the client when attending to the order 5. Improved statistics for the director to better manage clients, pantry volunteers, and staff

We have optimized the architecture and integrated changes across the app's features based on user feedback. The changes include interactions and permissions between the different users. The goal was to improve usability and align the app use with its objective and perceived impact.
