Each turn a place lights up on the map of Switzerland: a canton with its enlarged shape, a lake or river drawn on the map, a mountain or pass with its photo. Name it as fast as you can: the quicker you answer, the more points you earn. Your best score in each category adds up to the total on the Game Center leaderboard. A simple, quick game for kids, students, families and anyone who wants to learn or brush up on Swiss geography and history. Great at school, for a test, or just for fun. EIGHT CATEGORIES • Cantons: all 26, with their coat of arms. Free. • Capitals: the 26 cantonal capitals, with a photo of the town. Free. • Mountains, passes, lakes and rivers: 12 per category, with a photo or drawn on the map. With Premium. • Battles and historical events: 12 per category, with the year and a picture. For events, a short explanation follows your answer. With Premium. TWO WAYS TO PLAY • Classic: type the name yourself. Free. The name is accepted in English, German, French or Italian, even with a small typo. • Multiple choice: pick the right name among four answers. Perfect for kids, included with Premium. Historical events are always played this way. FEATURES • Pick a category at the start and see your best score for each. • Even the smallest cantons are easy to see: the enlarged shape brings out Basel-Stadt, Zug or Appenzell Innerrhoden. • Speed bonus that drops in 20 seconds, with a timer that stops whenever you pause. • Game Center leaderboards, one for each mode, with the total of your best scores. • In English, German, French and Italian, with the names in your language. • For iPhone and iPad. • No account needed. Your answers and scores stay on your device. PREMIUM The app is free and supported by ads suitable for all ages. Premium removes all ads and unlocks Multiple choice mode and the six extra categories. In 1981, when we were 12 years old, he taught me how to program in Basic and made me fall in love with the Apple world. He had written a program to guess the U.S. states from their shapes alone: that is how I learned the names of all 50 states. Together we then adapted the idea to the 20 Italian regions. Thank you, Al, for passing on to me the joy of programming: this app is also thanks to you.
