On that note, a colorful host of wrestling rivals await your challenge. Prep sufficiently and you just might get your hand raised! So fight hard, fight well, but also—fight with style!
...And crack some crass quips at the pre-fight press conference too!
As for the in-ring action, weather thrilling exchanges amidst cheers from a capacity crowd, sinking a finisher at the right moment to nab the three-count!
The more popularity your team amasses, the more visitors will flock to your gym—and the more merch you'll ultimately move. You can even erect an arcade, karaoke room, batting cage and much, much more for some welcome added revenue!
Lastly, any team worth its salt needs more than a few members. Should a particularly talented wrestler catch your eye, see if you can't bring him or her onboard! This will grant you access to a whole new world of 2v2 and 3v3 tag matches—meaning more tussling territory for you to terrorize!

Huge kairosoft fan, another great hit. Idk why this one felt a little convoluted but overall still an enjoyable game. The matches feel like a coin flip every time and some of the hints aren’t given until well into your playthru like holds opening up your opponent for more attacks. Not sure what the mechanic is on pins since 0HP doesn’t grantee a win. I kind of expected more I guess… since they have other fighting games I sort of expected this one to borrow moves from those other games also. They have archetypes like boxing in the game I would’ve enjoyed seeing some fighters throwing hooks and uppercuts. It would’ve been funny if you could fight actual monsters instead of masked wrestlers, and also I didn’t see any power ranger stuff in the game which would’ve been cool too. Again, it’s a great game, I think I went into this one expecting too much bc I’m such a fan of kairosoft.

As someone who isn’t sports inclined, I’m always wary for a new title like this. I enjoyed Tennis Story and Basketball Story though, and this one was just as good (if not better!) I like the gym development aspect combined with the wrestling, the costumes are a nice element, and the characters are fun. As a 10+ year player and enjoyer of Kairosoft games, I always love when they surprise me with a new title.
Great game, But w/potential game breaking bug

One of their best games so far. But I’ve noticed there is a bug or glitch in that whatever wrestler you get…when you level up their stats…the stats of their in-game controlled counterpart also gets leveled up as well. So if say you unlocked Sally Prin…when you level up her stats…The game controlled version of her that you wrestle against will also be leveled up with the exact same stats as yours every time. This needs to be fixed before I’ll give it a full five star rating.

Despite all of their games being kinda sorta the exact same formula, they are fun. And Pro Wrestler Story is no different.While it would be nice if some of the game’s mechanics were better explained. (Or at least on a wiki somewhere, the games ultimately very simple and charming.)Recommended!
