Religious Studies Revision
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Revise GCSE Religious Studies for AQA, Eduqas or Edexcel B: all seven religions and every theme, with exam-style questions, explanations, revision notes and mock tests.
GCSE RS helps you revise for GCSE (9–1) Religious Studies with exam-style questions, revision notes and mock tests. Choose your exam board when you first open the app: AQA (8062, Specification A), Eduqas (C120, full course) or Edexcel B (1RB0). Then choose the religions you study, or pick "Not sure" to see them all. Topics, questions and the mock test then follow your course.
It suits students in Year 10 and Year 11, and parents or teachers who want a structured way to revise.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• AQA: 2,670 exam-style questions across 178 subtopics
• Eduqas: 2,415 exam-style questions across 161 subtopics, Route A and Route B
• Edexcel B: 2,880 exam-style questions across 192 subtopics
• 3,045 different questions in all, each with a full explanation
• 203 revision notes, one for every subtopic, with key terms, teachings and diagrams such as the Five Pillars, the Eightfold Path and a gurdwara plan
• Flash cards for key terms and teachings
• A Mock Test that draws questions from across your course
ALL SEVEN RELIGIONS
Christianity, Catholic Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism. Each religion has its own tile with its beliefs, teachings and practices.
• AQA: pick any two religions (not both Christianity and Catholic Christianity)
• Eduqas: Route A, Christianity and one of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism or Sikhism; or Route B, Catholic Christianity and Judaism
• Edexcel B: one religion for each Area of Study
EVERY THEME
• AQA: Relationships and families; Religion and life; The existence of God and revelation; Religion, peace and conflict; Religion, crime and punishment; Religion, human rights and social justice
• Eduqas: Issues of relationships, life and death, good and evil, and human rights (Route A), and the Catholic theology themes (Route B)
• Edexcel B: marriage and the family, life and death, crime and punishment, peace and conflict and more, through your religions
Non-religious views, such as humanist ones, are included where your course asks for them.
QUOTATIONS YOU CAN TRUST
Sacred-text quotations are short, come with their reference and are taken word for word from public-domain translations, such as the World English Bible, the JPS 1917 Tanakh and Pickthall's Qur'an. Each one is checked against the stored text. Other teachings are given in plain words with their reference.
RESPECTFUL AND BALANCED
Beliefs are explained as each tradition holds them ("Many Muslims believe…"), and where views differ, such as Catholic and Protestant or Sunni and Shi'a, the app shows the range.
A note on the format: questions are multiple choice and true or false. They help you learn beliefs, teachings, practices and key terms and apply them to the themes. The app does not mark written answers, so keep practising those on paper too.
FREE TO TRY
On every board the first beliefs subtopic of each religion is free, together with a set of theme subtopics and the Mock Test on the free questions.
UNLOCK EVERYTHING
Unlock every subtopic, question and note with:
• a monthly, quarterly, 6-month or yearly subscription, or
• a one-off lifetime unlock, paid once with no renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings. A purchase covers all three exam boards.
