Detailed rules
Briscola is played with a deck of 40 Italian cards divided into four suits: cups, coins, swords, and clubs. Each game starts with revealing the “briscola,” the trump suit for the entire hand, which takes precedence over all other suits.
Players take turns playing one card each. The trick is won by the player who plays the highest card of the leading suit, unless one of the two plays a briscola card, which beats all others.
At the end of the game, points are totaled from the cards won during the hand. The player with the highest score wins.

Three: 10 points
King: 4 points
Knight: 3 points
Jack: 2 points
All other cards: 0 points
