This application was developed to enable others to provide timely backup coverage to people who are responsible for the well-being of children, elderly or other dependents, pets or critical activities. This functionality also ensures the user’s well-being when they are not in the company of others capable of helping them in an emergency. This functionality is implemented by facilitating active management and monitoring of the user’s status. The application can facilitate manually notifying a pre-selected list of emergency contacts. It can also be programmed to automatically begin notifying this list of contacts if the user has programmed it to periodically query their well-being that requires the user to respond that they are not in need of assistance. The application documents the user’s responsibilities with enough detail that assigned emergency contacts can effectively manage the necessary activities when the user becomes incapacitated or geographically dislocated from those activities. In order to facilitate this, a chat function provides a private communication thread between two or more emergency contacts that maintains the thread(s) until the user determines they can be erased. To streamline data entry the Saved Events function allows routine activities to be scheduled that include key information for the emergency contacts. It also allows the user to send a QR code to any person they wish to join their emergency contact support team.
