**Zion Baptist Church: A Community Cornerstone for 90 Years**
Zion Baptist Church has been a cornerstone in the community for 90 years. As a proud member of the Progressive National & State Baptist Convention (PNBC) for over 50 years, ZBC has been deeply committed to fostering spiritual growth, social justice, and community empowerment.
### A Rich Tradition
Experience the rich tradition of Zion Baptist Church, located in Baltimore City's Oliver community, organized May 16, 1934, by the late Matthew Walter Wilkerson. Led by Pastor Marshall F. Prentice, our church offers a welcoming environment for all ages. We blend traditional hymns with contemporary worship, focusing on the teachings of Christ Jesus. Our mission is to teach, testify, and transform lives through the power of God's love. Join us for inspiring sermons, transformative experiences, and a sense of community.
### Our Ministries and Programs
Our church is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all individuals. We offer a variety of ministries and programs designed to meet the needs of our diverse congregation, including:
- **Worship Services**: Experience the uplifting spirit of our worship services, featuring inspiring sermons, powerful music, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- **Christian Education**: Grow your faith through our comprehensive Christian education programs, including Sunday School, Bible studies, and youth ministry.
- **Community Outreach**: Engage in meaningful community service initiatives that address local needs and promote social justice.
- **Fellowship and Support**: Connect with like-minded individuals and build lasting relationships through our fellowship activities and support groups.
In addition to our PNBC affiliation, ZBC is also a proud member of BUILD (Baltimoreans United In Leadership Development), an organization associated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF). This affiliation allows us to advocate for social and economic justice, work collaboratively with community leaders, and empower individuals to make a positive impact on their neighborhoods.
At Zion Baptist Church, we believe that everyone is welcome and valued. Join us as we strive to create a more just, compassionate, and spiritually fulfilling world.
