Account settings: change your password or set one if you previously signed in without a password. Temperature and distance preferences: choose the units you prefer for thermostat temperatures and vehicle information. Device setup: clearer explanations when Tesla Powerwall setup fails, with support for retrying a setup that is stuck pending. Connection recovery: device data can recover after a failed load, and the offline banner makes connection problems clearer. Startup reliability: temporary connection problems during account and terms checks are less likely to prevent the app from opening. Improvements to router access messages, address maps, and billing visibility.

New - Scan a device label instead of typing it: connecting a Tesla Powerwall now offers Scan Label, which reads the QR code on the Gateway sticker and fills in the network name and password. Values stay editable, and the network name is shown back so you can check it against the sticker. You can also pick a photo of the label instead of using the camera. - Updates now apply the first time you open the app, rather than downloading on one launch and applying on the next. - Connecting a Tesla no longer reports a timeout when the sign-in simply took a while, including two-factor. - The Connect Tesla prompt now lives on a single screen instead of appearing in more than one place. - Fleet operators can manage a site's home access while browsing that site. - Cancelling a Google or Apple sign-in is no longer treated as an error. - A retail electricity plan problem that cannot be retried now says so, instead of inviting you to retry indefinitely. Included from the v2.8.2 over-the-air updates (already live for existing users, new for fresh installs) - Switch to a retail electricity plan from the Home screen, with signup handled by the provider, and your plan, bills, documents and payment method reachable from Settings. - Connect Tesla as an installer or as anyone who manages the home, not only the account owner. - Grid-program enrollment routes through the program's own provider, a program you qualify for reads as participating, and an invitation that cannot be opened explains itself. - The full agreement is always shown when joining a grid program, and Accept unlocks once you have scrolled to the end. - Period navigation on the Solar and Battery charts: step back through earlier days, weeks and months, with the label naming the period shown. - Solar and Battery charts now share one calculation, and the battery usage chart shows charging alongside discharging. - Call Us and Email Us on the Support screen, with the call option saying whether the team is available now. - A choice at first setup between creating a new home and joining an existing one. - Setup instructions with manufacturer links for supported devices. - Cards for devices your Energy Router has detected but cannot control yet. - The Billing screen names why a bill cannot be shown yet, and names the state while a retail plan is still being set up. - The ER01 is called the Energy Router everywhere, and Bluetooth errors say what to do next. - Installers are warned before connecting a customer's Energy Router to their own home. - Fixes: staying signed in through transient network errors, blank solar plots on zero-generation days, a connected car appearing again as newly discovered, iOS password autofill after tapping reveal, an expired installer invitation changing branding, and opt-out wording that promised rejoining an event on programs that do not allow it.

New - Push notifications: Get alerts for grid-program dispatch events. A new Settings → Notifications screen lets you turn push on or off, with a link to device settings if notifications are blocked. - Product analytics: Anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (screens, feature usage) to help us understand how the app is used. No energy data or personal content beyond account identity. - Sign in with Apple capability preserved alongside the new push entitlement. Included from the v2.7.0 OTA (already live for existing users, new for fresh installs) - Dispatch event details with in-app opt-out - In-app VPP program enrollment (terms + form) - Tappable home energy diagram (battery / solar / EV shortcuts) - Offline banner, one-tap car connection, clearer Billing states, utility authorization confirmation screen - Fixes: zero-generation solar charts, billing streaks, battery settings validation, logo fallbacks, visual polish
