Heel2Toe is a therapeutic wearable that attaches to the side of your shoe and delivers positive auditory feedback each time you make a good step. Heel2Toe automates a physiotherapy gait training strategy: place your heel first when walking. This simple strategy lengthens your stride and changes a stooped, shuffling gait pattern to one that is upright and striding. Walk-BEST (BEtter, Faster, Longer, STronger) with Heel2toe, led by physiotherapy professionals and professors from McGill University in Canada, and University of Exeter in the UK.
The Docking Station uploads walking session data so you can visualize your walking pattern and see how you improve over time.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
This update brings full Heel2Toe session management to Mac, smarter handling of
sessions you've already saved, and more reliable uploads.
- **Now on Mac: work with your Heel2Toe SD card directly.** Select the card,
review what's on it, and extract your sessions — all from your Mac.
- **Already-saved sessions are recognized.** Sessions you've already uploaded
are now correctly shown as processed, so you won't re-import the same walk.
- **More reliable uploads.** Sending sessions to the cloud is smoother and no
longer gets stuck — with a clear message if something needs your attention.
- **Reclaim device space.** Clear recordings that are already safely uploaded —
with an optional backup first, and an auto-reclaim option after each transfer.
Anything not yet uploaded is always kept.
- **Open sessions without the device.** Load recordings from a folder or a .zip,
no Heel2Toe plugged in.
- **A clearer sessions list.** A transfer-time estimate, gentler handling of
power-off and wrong-date recordings, and a fuller, tidier layout.
- **Risk of Fall is now optional for clients**, so clinics control what each
client sees.
- **Finer walking-sensitivity tuning.** The Good Step Threshold now adjusts in
smaller steps and reaches a wider range.
- **Reliability and layout fixes**, plus a heads-up when more than one device is
connected.
