People who do not want to continue with membership can now open the existing account-deletion flow directly from the membership screen. Added an onboarding-style app bar with language and delete-account icons, without visible labels or a back button.

Membership: Yétúndé is a verified community - everyone confirms their identity with a government ID and a live photo. New members now join with a one-time joining fee. There are no repeat membership charges, and membership stays active for as long as your account is open. This is separate from plans. Ayanfe, Ide, Fadaka and Wura work exactly as they do today, and so do Boosts - the joining fee is about being here, not about what your plan includes. Membership also comes with a complimentary 48-hour Boost, which you can redeem in Boosts whenever you are ready. If you are already verified with us, nothing changes and there is nothing to pay: your membership is already in place. And if you have paid but do not see it yet, you can restore your access from the members Where you live, on your profile: Your full profile now shows where you live, so a match knowsore you start talking. We work it out from your locationrather than asking you to type it, and we only ever show a city from a list of large ones — never your street, your neighbourhood or your exact spot. You will see your city once enough other members are in it, and your country until then. That is deliberate: in a place where only a handful of us have signed up, naming the city would say more about you thaomewhere small is shown as the nearest city on the list, so someone in Ikeja appears as Lagos. It is yours to control. In Settings you can hide it completely, or choose a different city, or show your country alone. Hiding it also stops us working your city out at all and deletes what we hold. Incognito hides it too. Once your city is set, it only changes after about ten days somewhere new, so a short trip will not move it. Pause your profile: Need a break from dating? Pause your profile in Settings and you stop appearing in Discover, with swiping paused both ways. Nothing is deleted: your matches, chats and photos stay where they are, and you can turn it back on whenever you are ready. A quicker start, and staying reachable Signing up is tidier: we ask for your phone number and country of residence once, and skip whatever we already know from your WhatsApp verification, with your dialling code filled in for you. If you joined whatsApp connected, your Account screen will now remind you to add one, so a match can always reach you. Smaller fixes: Steadier performance across the app, clearer wording in a few places, and the usual round of fixes.

Behind-the-scenes improvements to how profiles load.

2026.08.31 Two new ways into your account, a change to how purchases confirm, and buttons moved on most screens. Everything else was rebuilt internally and should look identical — report anything that used to work and now doesn't. NEW — Email confirmation Sign up with an email you can open. You get an 8-character code (capitals and numbers). A wrong code should say so and let you retry; a correct one should confirm and sign you in. If it can't, you should land on Sign In with your email pre-filled — never asked for the code twice. NEW — Connecting WhatsApp From Sign In or the email confirmation screen. You still need your password: WhatsApp connects an account, it can't log you in. NEW — WhatsApp in Settings Settings → Account: the Phone number row is now WhatsApp. Connect or Change opens the same flow. You never type a number yourself. NEW — Closing your account after meeting someone Pick "I met someone on Yetunde". Nothing should be pre-ticked. The anonymous-or-named question appears only after you agree to sharing. Switching reason clears your ticks. CHANGED — Buying things Purchases may pause briefly after payment. That's intended. Success should appear only once the plan shows on your account. Report: success with no subscription, an endless spinner, or a double charge. Also try cancelling at the payment sheet, backgrounding mid-payment, and losing connection mid-payment. CHANGED — Button positions Main action is now on the right when side by side, on top when stacked. Report any pair the wrong way round, or cut off on a small screen.
