Over 1700 cultural and natural heritage sites across Slovenia, on one map. Note: the app and all content are currently in Slovenian only. Slovenske poti is the heritage guide to Slovenia published by the Nova Revija Institute, a Slovenian humanities research institute. It brings together more than 1700 cultural and natural heritage sites - churches, castles, monuments, archaeological sites, waterfalls, caves, lakes, museums, galleries and towns - and shows you what is worth seeing exactly where you are. Please note: the app interface and all heritage content are currently available in Slovenian only. English, German and Italian translations are in preparation. WHAT IS AROUND ME? • "Blizu mene" (Near me) shows the sites around your current location on a map and in a list, ordered by distance. • "Izberi regijo" (Select region) does the same for a region you plan to visit. • Search and category filters narrow the list. • Switch between map view and list view with one tap. FOUR CATEGORIES • Kulturna dediščina - cultural heritage: churches, castles, monuments, archaeological sites. • Naravna dediščina - natural heritage: waterfalls, caves, lakes, notable trees, natural monuments. • Muzeji in galerije - museums and galleries. • Slovenska mesta - Slovenian towns. EVERY SITE ON ITS OWN PAGE • A description written by the institute's researchers, based on scholarly publications. • A photo gallery, with the author and the licence shown for every image. • Visitor ratings. • A navigation button that opens your navigation app and takes you there. • Sharing by message or social network. QR CODES IN THE FIELD Scan the QR code on a sign at a site and the app opens that site's page. FAVOURITES AND RATINGS Tap the heart to save a site, and rate it from 1 to 5. These two features need an account - e-mail, Google or Apple. Everything else works without signing in. IT WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL Sites, categories and regions are stored on your device, so search, the map and basic site data keep working with no internet connection. Useful in the mountains and in the countryside. FREE No subscription and no in-app purchases. LANGUAGE The app and all of its content are currently in Slovenian. English, German and Italian translations are being prepared by the Nova Revija Institute and will be added in a future release. Maps, navigation, distances and photo galleries work regardless of language.
