Cloud AI requires your own AI provider account and API key, and usage is billed separately by your chosen provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Groq). Thanks for using Daimond AI. Feedback shapes everything.

v1.7 — Create Your Own AI Character Companion now goes beyond the 10 built-in characters. Generate a fully illustrated AI character unique to you, built with Apple's Image Playground, plus matching expressions. CREATE YOUR CHARACTER * Generate a custom illustrated character from your companion's personality, powered by Apple Intelligence's Image Playground * Review your portrait before it's used — Save & Use, Regenerate, or Discard * Share a Character Card (portrait + name + personality blurb) right from Companion Settings * Remove your character anytime and fall back to one of the 10 built-in animated companions * Prompts are not stored; images are generated on-device or via Apple's Private Cloud Compute COMPANION EXPRESSIONS * Generate matching Thinking and Greeting expressions for your character * Thinking appears while Daimond is preparing a reply * Greeting appears in your daily Morning Brief * Changed your companion's personality? Regenerate expressions to keep them consistent SUPPORTED DEVICES FOR CHARACTER GENERATION * iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max * All iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 models, and iPhone Air * iPad and Mac with an M1 chip or later * Requires Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri Note: this is a broader device list than Local AI, which remains limited to iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and supported M-series iPads. On devices that don't support character generation, the Generate option simply doesn't appear — any previously generated character stays visible and selectable, and the 10 built-in animated companions remain fully available. ALSO IN 1.7 * Stability and performance improvements Thanks for using Daimond AI. Feedback shapes everything.

v1.6 — Local AI: Your AI, On Your Device The biggest update since launch. Daimond AI can now run a language model entirely on your iPhone or iPad — no internet, no API key, no data ever leaving your device. LOCAL AI (NEW) * 100% private: conversations never leave your device * Works fully offline after a one-time model download * No API key, no account, no cloud dependency * Built-in voice output works offline too * Powered by Google Gemma 3n * Smart safeguards: monitors temperature, memory, and battery usage; falls back to your cloud provider if your device is under stress; respects Low Power Mode * Switch back to a cloud provider any time — it doesn't replace them SUPPORTED DEVICES FOR LOCAL AI iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air models, and iPads with the M2 chip or later. All other devices keep full access to OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, and Google cloud providers - nothing is taken away. HONEST LIMITATIONS Local AI is a private assistant, not a replacement for state-of-the-art cloud models. To set expectations: * Responses are shorter and less detailed than cloud models * A response can take 20 - 35 seconds to generate (cloud is faster) * Conversations maintain 6 turns of conversation (context is limited) * Knowledgebase mode is cloud-only for now * Initial model download requires Wi-Fi We'd rather ship something useful and honest than overpromise. ALSO IN 1.6 * Full iPad support: layout, voice, and UI now optimized for larger screens * Processing spinner so you always know when Daimond is thinking * Smarter error messages when a device can't run Local AI Thanks for using Daimond AI. Feedback shapes everything.
