Qur'an – Holy Book of Islam
This app provides the Qur'an, the sacred book of Islam, available for free download on your phone in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili.
All Muslims believe that the Qur'an is the Word of God. The daily obligatory prayers include the recitation of its verses and chapters, making the Qur'an the foundation of Islamic faith and practice.
The Qur'an is a glorious, pure, and eternal book, filled with profound teachings and wisdom. It is a divine guide for life and humanity.
The Qur'an was revealed by God to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gradually over a period of 23 years, verse by verse and surah by surah. The Prophet recited the revelations to his companions, who memorized them and later preserved them in written form.
Muslims refer to the Qur'an with titles of honor such as Al-Karim (“The Noble”) and Al-Azim (“The Magnificent”).
One of the most beautiful and widely published books in the world, the Qur'an is traditionally treated with deep respect. In many Muslim societies, it is customary not to sell the Qur'an, but to distribute it freely for the benefit of all.
