OrgoPro makes learning organic chemistry easier. Key concepts are broken down into smaller “Skills” that you practice, building knowledge and confidence as you progress. OrgoPro includes over 150 Skills for you to develop, enabling you to learn at your own pace. When you get a question wrong, helpful and descriptive feedback is provided that explains the relevant concepts. Feedback typically includes a detailed example that explains how to approach a similar problem. Apply what you learn from the feedback to correct your answer before tackling the next question. OrgoPro excels at teaching the many multistep processes encountered in organic chemistry. Tasks like systematic nomenclature and R/S configurational assignments of chiral centers are each broken down into smaller concepts for you to master. OrgoPro Includes: • 151 Skills and over 1,400 questions • Helpful, descriptive feedback that explains the relevant concepts for each question • Detailed examples within the feedback explaining how to approach similar problems Topics Include: • Atomic Structure • Nomenclature • Free Rotation and Conformations • Newman Projections and Chair Conformations • Stereochemistry - Chirality, Enantiomers, Diastereomers • Mass Spectrometry • IR and UV Spectroscopy • NMR Spectroscopy (Carbon and Proton) • Acid-Base Chemistry • Thermodynamics and Kinetics • Reaction Mechanisms (Arrow-pushing) • Resonance • Aromaticity and Antiaromaticity • Radicals • Reductions and Oxidations • Retrosynthesis • Reactions of important functional groups including alkenes, alkynes, dienes, alkyl halides, alcohols, ethers, benzenes, & carbonyls

Useful app as long as you have other resources

This app is a useful tool for reviewing your organic chemistry fundamentals, but you need to have a good reference outside of it; the app gives you a bit of coaching if you make mistakes, but they're general, not specific. The program could be improved by having two things added:1. A button for "Show me the answer" or "Skip this question". I got stuck on a single problem in naming an ether and couldn't move on when I couldn't figure it out. The app gave me some tips, but I was roadblocked when I couldn't sort it out on my own. This is a major problem for a user and needs to be fixed.2. A clickable reference within the app would be a fantastic resource. For example, if you want to read the basics on hybridization, having a quick reference would be nice. This would be a handy thing for students but is not a deal-breaker.I intend to continue using the app and I hope the developer is able to make an update at some point. If so, I'd be able to recommend it to my classmates.
