GeoCeptor has two location modes: Safari spoofing works directly in Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Mac without cables or the Mac Companion, while System GPS uses the GeoCeptor Companion for Mac to simulate your iPhone's location across apps. Use System GPS for privacy, browsing, and development, control GPX routes, and follow live spoofing status from your iPhone. GeoCeptor's Safari layer changes location and browser privacy signals on websites. System GPS affects location-aware apps on your iPhone, while Safari spoofing affects websites only. GeoCeptor is not a VPN and does not change your IP address. Changing the reported location does not bypass server-side checks such as IP address, payment methods, or account history. ++UPDATE 05 SEP 2026++Latest version finally works correctly with Gmail! Unfortunately, owing to the sprawling nature of Google’s web empire, enabling this on Gmail can sometimes cause other Google-based websites to refuse you access because “your browser may be insecure.” As far as I can tell, this is because different Google websites may see different locations or timezones and conclude something is “amiss.” Developer-recommended settings for Gmail would be a nice addition, but overall, developer’s latest updates to fix behavior with Gmail are a HUGE step forward. Thank you! (And yes, I still think paying for the Pro version was a good value!)++UPDATE 28 AUG 2026++Despite several nice upgrades, this app still cannot prevent the system time zone from leaking to Gmail, which is a huge gap. Working flawlessly with Gmail (and similar) should either be a key test case for this app or should be clearly announced as out of scope. Until then, the app feels unfinished.Despite the above, I do not regret paying for Pro to support the app. I look forward to the day that it fulfills its potential. Promising start…++Original Review++This app is a nice idea, but time zone spoofing does not work in Gmail, which seems like a serious oversight. Still, it shows much promise!

As the dev indicated in his shill on Reddit, this works by hooking into when a website requests your physical location in Safari. This won’t work if you already granted the website permission, or granted it permanently.Sometimes it won’t work on the first try; I noticed that if a site requests it and the popup does come, and you just press don’t allow, then refresh and try again, no prompt will come but the site will “have your location”TLDR; this app works perfectly although the exact steps to get it to work can vary per website, it does exactly what it purports to do given the inherent variability behind the scenes.
