Meram: Mindful App Blocker
Less screen time, on purpose
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: seals. Close your distracting apps for 50 minutes or until a round time, and break a seal only on purpose. The question before each app stays free.
Meram asks one question before a distracting app opens: what are you here to do?
Write it in a few words, such as "Reply to Selin" or "Check the match score". Meram opens the app for just that long, then asks on your Lock Screen whether you did it. You keep the apps you need and skip the scrolling you never chose.
NEW: SEALS
When you need to work, seal your apps for a set time, such as 50 minutes or until 4:15 PM. Write what you will do, then hold to seal. Screen Time shields your sealed apps until the seal ends, and they show "Back to work" instead of the question. The seal ends on its own. To stop sooner, you break it on purpose with a 2-second hold, and a broken seal does not count.
• After a kept seal, answer "Did you finish it?", or take a 10-minute break and seal again.
• Follow a seal on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
• Start a seal from the Action Button or Control Center.
HOW THE QUESTION WORKS
• Seal up to three apps with Apple's Screen Time.
• When you open one, write what you mean to do, in two real words or more.
• The app opens for a few minutes, sized to what you wrote.
• Afterwards, answer Done or Got lost, right from the Lock Screen.
When you keep your word, Meram stays out of the way. After you get lost, the next open asks you to slow down. Meram keeps no streaks or scores.
ALSO IN SAFARI
Seal websites too, such as reddit.com or youtube.com. Turn on the Meram extension in Safari, and a sealed site asks the same question before it opens.
YOUR WEEK, ON PURPOSE
Today shows the minutes you spent on purpose. Week shows your seals and what you came for each time.
FREE AND MERAM PRO
Meram is free to download. Free includes the question, Safari websites and one seal a day of up to 1 hour.
Meram Pro adds:
• Seals of up to 4 hours, as many as you like
• Scheduled seals, such as weekdays 9:00 to 11:00
• A choice of which sealed apps each seal covers

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• You can write what you came to do in Japanese, Chinese or Thai. Words without spaces between them now count.
• On the open iPhone Duo, the lock on the Sealed screen sits beside the fold, not on it.
