This is the most significant update to Qino this year, it brings big improvements to discovery, notifications, and performance. The home feed has been completely redesigned for discovery. It now surfaces new films as you scroll. Nothing repeats, so there's always more to discover. Add movies to your watchlist right from the feed. Screening alerts for your watchlist and saved cinemas are now available to all users, no subscription required. Premium users get more control over alerts. Want to catch The Odyssey at BFI IMAX? You can now set your watchlist to alert you only about new screenings at cinemas you care about. Be the first in line for the next ticket drop. You can now set reminders for any showtime, get notified exactly when tickets go on sale, or any time before the screening. You can also add any showtime straight to your calendar with the tap of a button. Your saved cinemas have moved from Home to the Cinemas tab. Home is now purely for feeds, including a dedicated one for all your saved cinemas. I also put a lot of effort into performance improvements under the hood. I'm working hard on the next major version of Qino, bringing the most ask for new features. Meanwhile, enjoy this small release that fixes multiple bugs, including a one that would cause adding a movie to watchlist take several seconds in some circumstances.

Curated movie categories and suggested showtime filters are about to get a whole lot better. Be the first to find out when cinemas around you plan director retrospectives, deep dives into world cinema and more. These recommendations are now updated multiple times a day, and the app will surface hundreds of movie categories for you to browse. This update includes important performance improvements to ensure these are fetched from our servers in milliseconds.

▶ Showtimes stay local. • Showtimes and movies now stick to your set location—your feed and movie pages won't collect stray results from places you've passed through. Saved cinemas still appear wherever they are. Want to browse another area? Find that French drama starting after 7pm, or locate all the A24 films playing this week. • Custom Feeds. Pin your favorite filters to the home tab to create personalised feeds. Build a feed for family films, another for late-night showings, or one just for your favorite directors. • Enhanced Search. Search movies by any information you can think of - genre, country, language, studio, cast, or crew. Looking for everything directed by Wes Anderson? Now you can find it instantly. • Curated Categories. Discover new categories to explore - Japanese Horror, Anime, French Cinema, Family Friendly, and more. Find films you might have missed in thoughtfully curated collections.
