The app did not transcribe my audio meeting files, even though I asked for a transcription, but rather described them, giving a summary of what was said. It did “translate,” though not literally, from German to English. I had to push and push to get a decent summary. Had I not understood some of the German, I could not have done it. Here’s my worst problem: I asked for a 3 day trial subscription to Cue, which was offered. After the initial work, Cue demanded an upgrade to the account before it would let me see any of the first draft! So the free trial was bogus. The next day I was billed $7.99 for the first month. I am so upset. I’m going to see if Chatgpt can do the same thing.

Recorded a meeting and got someone else’s summary
Macmoincanta
This app stated that all transcriptions are secure and the very first time I used it, I found that it is not. I had Cur transcribe an interview for a technical job and when cue provided the summary, it was about how excited they were about 90s day. And it auto selected German as the language. When I asked Cue’s AI about the summary was not of our conversation, it deleted the summary. When I asked why it was so wrong, it said there was a mix up and I received another user’s summary. I asked if someone else could have access to my meeting summary and it said that was not possible. This is contradictory to what happened. Obviously the summary of what you recorded can be accidentally viewed by another user. There was nothing uploaded way to retrieve the original transcription or find out who had access to the summary. It is great that the transcription is secure and they remove it after the summary, but that is all moot if the summary can go out to anyone without your control. If you have compliance needs at your work, please do not use this app
Developer Response
Hi there - we understand the frustration but we would like to make it clear that in no way were you seeing another summary, nor were your summaries accessed by another user - we use the latest security and privacy techniques to ensure this is the case. What you experienced was in fact related to a generalised challenge that all voice-AI companies face, and we are working on. When there is no audio detected during a long meeting, the the AI transcription can "hallucinate" conversations. In your case I suspect either no audio was detected or perhaps your headphones were connected to the phone. If you reach out to cue-support@44pixels.ai then we'd be happy to explain in more depth and support with anything you need to see this was not a privacy issue.
Not suitable for any serious business use
Lostindowntowm
This app is extremely glitchy and not suitable for business use. In my two weeks of trying it, it has lost all of my recording once (allegedly due to cloud upgrade gone wrong) and required me to perform so voodoo actions to recover those notes (namely hit certain menu item 5 times exactly and then do something else and thank god those notes came back). This was anxiety inducing because those were the only notes I had from those meetings. Now it has been throwing an error processing one of the recordings and the tech support has been non-existent. There’s no way for me to recover that recording to even listen to the playback, it’s just I don’t know - corrupted? Lost? Tech support email BOUNCES as non deliverable. Basically, this is not suitable for any enterprise application. Beware.

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We agree - your experience was not at the level we strive for, and we take full ownership of that. The issue with notes disappearing was tied to a rare system update and has since been fixed. We’re glad to hear your notes were ultimately recovered, and we’ve made improvements so this won’t happen again. We’d really value the chance to talk further, hear your feedback and help with the current recording issue. Please reach out to us at cue-support@44pixels.ai.
I feel kinda dumb paying for this app.
DannyG7826
I downloaded this app because one of the main pictures said phone calls. I wanted to be able to record them and annotate them to help me out because I’m usually on 1-3 hour long phone calls sometimes. I paid so I could try it out for an hour and I tried calling but every time I hit record, it didn’t work. I then thought of using Apples record phone calls function to see if maybe that was how I had to do it. In turn, I just figured out a way to circumvent having the app by just recording my phone calls and then having ChatGPT annotate and give me feedback on my conversations. Similarly if I wanted to record a meeting I can also just use voice memos. I played around with the app a little bit trying to see other functions of the app and there really wasn’t a whole lot compared to other competitors.I understand this app is supposed to be the thing that cuts out having to do the manual labor of copy paste and using two different apps but… for what I just realized. I feel kinda dumb for paying for this app.
