Pro and college football: every college school now has a team page and alerts, and the Injuries tab shows every reserve placement with the injury behind it.
ChallengeFlag is the companion app for football fans, pro and college. It sits next to the broadcast, your team's app and your fantasy app, and tells you what is going on and why, in plain language, through all five phases of a game.
PRO AND COLLEGE
One switch on the schedule. Every pro game and every FBS college game gets the same companion: the same five phases, the same alerts, the same favorites, each league with its own schedule, standings and profile tab.
1. THE WEEK BEFORE
Open any upcoming game and read who should win and why, with how ChallengeFlag's picks have done this season: the model's win probability and the line side by side, the two best reasons, and the case for the other side. Under it, what each team brings into the game. Record and streak, where its offense and defense rank, scoring form, short weeks and byes, long road trips, the injury report, roster moves from the last week, and the recent history between the two teams. It refreshes three times a day as injury reports, lines and rosters change, so the card you read Wednesday is not the card you read Saturday.
2. KICKOFF
Starters and the depth chart, the injury report as it firms up, weather at the stadium, the projected score and total, and a kickoff reminder for the teams you follow.
3. LIVE
Win probability that moves play by play, and on pro games an expected points chart beside it that shows which team is playing better, not just who is winning. Play-by-play with the swing and the expected points on every snap. Every flag as it is thrown, with what it cost and, at a glance, what fans thought of the call. A turnover bar and a red zone chip on the Game tab. Score and halftime alerts, so the second screen keeps up with the first.
4. AFTER THE GAME
A recap that reads the way a friend would tell you about the game: what decided it, the key moments, and what the calls actually cost each side. Milestones, grouped by team: every pre-game line against what the player actually did. Rate the calls yourself and see how other fans rated them.
5. BETWEEN GAMES
Your teams all season: roster and depth chart, the transaction wire as moves happen, injuries, coaching staff, schedule, standings and each team's tendencies. Tap any player for a report on role and usage, contract, injury history and performance trend. A quarterback board ranks every passer by expected points added per dropback, with completion percentage over expected beside it, and each team page carries its offense and defense EPA with league ranks. Search the college schedule by school. Pick your favorites, pro and college, and they sit at the top of your schedule.
OFFICIATING
Every pro officiating crew's penalty profile. In college, crews are assigned by conference, so each game carries the assigning conference's profile against the FBS average.
ALERTS YOU CHOOSE
Kickoff reminders, scores, halftime, challenge flags, high leverage penalties, officiating assignments, and matchup updates when a starting quarterback is ruled out or goes on injured reserve before your game. Each one is a switch in your profile, for each league.
College lines are ChallengeFlag projections, labeled as such. ChallengeFlag does not take or place bets.
ChallengeFlag does not replace the apps you already use. It sits beside them and fills in the why.
ChallengeFlag is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any league, conference, team or school. Team and school names are used only to identify the games being described.
Data from Sportradar, live during games and refreshed through the week.
I used to flip between the score app and Twitter. This one stays on. Before the game I can see who’s hurt and who’s working the game. During it, every play shows up with the score and that little chart that moves when something big happens. When they throw a flag it tells you if it actually wrecked the drive or just felt like it. After the game I finally understand why we lost instead of just staring at 24–20.
Finally shows which play actually ended it

Sometimes it’s a pick. Sometimes it’s a missed kick. Sometimes it’s a flag. This app points at that play instead of making you scroll the whole box score. I sent my dad the screen after the Chargers game and he got it immediately. That’s rare for a football app.
Wow! Finally!
It’s the Bolt’s Year
This app has everything I could possibly need to know about everything NFL. I keep discovering new stats that give me an edge on understanding the game and win probabilities. Unfortunately my team isn’t looking good-but I can’t blame the app for that. It’s all on Mike McDaniel!

Bolt Up. Watching one game live and keeping two more running in the app is exactly the setup it was built for, and "perfect companion at game time" is the phrase I will keep. Thank you for the review. If a game ever lags or an update looks off, tell me and I will check it.Matt, ChallengeFlag
It’s all here

I'm glad you like all the data. We work hard to provide meaningful analysis!- Challenge Flag, Matt Mason
COLLEGE
Every school now has a team page: the season schedule with results, the roster by position with each player's card and game-log charts, and the coaches with their SP+ ratings. Tap a school's name on a game, the schedule or the standings to open it. An FCS opponent is marked as such.
Score updates, halftime and high-leverage flag alerts now arrive for the college teams you follow, each a switch under the College tab in your profile. College favorites are grouped by conference, collapsed until you open one, with a count of the schools you follow. The schedule filters read My Teams, My Conferences, AP Top 25 and All FBS.
INJURIES
The team page's Injuries tab lists every player placed on injured reserve through the transaction wire, not only those on a weekly report, with the injury from the latest report when there is one. Rows are a tight list: name, position and injury, with IR, IR-R (designated to return), PUP and NFI codes explained in the header.
STARTERS
Projected starters pass over players on reserve or ruled out, show who took the spot, and tag questionable and doubtful starters with Q and D.
GAME INTEL
The referee bias bar names the two teams instead of home and away. The expected points chart gives two like-colored teams two different lines.
ALERTS
An injury alert opens the team page on its Injuries tab.
