ColorClerk 2.0 makes it easy to pick, convert and save colours on your Mac, with faster sampling, more formats and better palette tools.
ColorClerk is a small, fast color picker for the Mac. Sample any pixel on screen, read it in the format you need, and keep the colors you care about. No accounts, no network, no clutter.
SAMPLE
• The system eyedropper, from the toolbar, the menu bar, a global shortcut or Shortcuts. The color is copied the moment you pick it.
• A sample outside sRGB gets a P3 badge and a color(display-p3 …) value.
• Recent samples stay one click away in the menu bar popover.
CONVERT
• Fourteen formats: HEX, CSS rgb(), hsl(), oklch() and color(display-p3), SwiftUI Color, NSColor, UIColor, Colorset JSON, Compose, Tailwind and CSS custom properties.
• Paste any of them into the code field and ColorClerk reads it.
• Copy As on every swatch, in the Color menu and in the popover.
EDIT AND COMPARE
• HSB, HSL or RGB fields, a saturation and brightness square, hue and opacity sliders.
• The current color sits beside the previous sample, with WCAG and APCA contrast against black and white.
• Every color gets its closest match from thirty thousand named colors.
KEEP
• Palettes of up to fifty swatches, as many palettes as you need, drag to reorder, saved as you go.
• Export and import as a hex list, CSS variables, Design Tokens JSON or an Apple .clr color list.
• Add Shades of Current Color builds a 50 to 950 scale in OKLCH.
STAY OUT OF THE WAY
• Stay on top, minimize to the menu bar, launch at login, light, dark or system appearance.
• Shortcuts actions: Sample Color From Screen, Get Current Color, Convert Color.
• Liquid Glass on macOS Tahoe; a flat look on earlier versions and with Reduce Transparency.
