ExpandXR

AR therapy for PTSD & Anxiety

Free

ExpandXR provides clinicians with an advanced augmented reality (AR) platform to facilitate patient engagement in supervised exposure exercises. While exposure therapy can be highly effective, it can often be difficult to simulate real-world social environments in the office. ExpandXR allows clinicians to create diverse, immersive AR scenarios that assist patients in practicing social interactions and managing situational challenges. The platform offers over 80 AI-powered characters across a wide range of environments, such as public speaking practice, job interview preparation, responding to peer pressure, and navigating public spaces like grocery stores, restaurants, arenas, and social gatherings. ExpandXR allows clinicians to customize scenarios to meet each patient's needs, helping support real-world skill-building. First responders, military personnel, and veterans can also benefit from scenarios designed to simulate challenging workplace or service-related environments. AI-driven roleplay helps clinicians guide users through realistic conversations and interactions that may relate to their occupational experiences. ExpandXR includes: • Gradually crowding environments with multiple simultaneous conversations: Grocery Store, Social Gathering, House Party, Bar/Restaurant, Sports Arena • Police station and fire station break rooms with gradual crowd density • Over 80 characters spanning children to elderly, diverse races, ethnicities, and body sizes • Characters in professional and casual attire, police/fire uniforms, and military fatigues • AI-powered conversational roleplay to simulate spontaneous interaction • Audio features to increase environmental realism (e.g., barking dogs, fireworks, sirens, crowd noise) • Scene props to enhance realism (e.g., tables, chairs, shelves, décor, food items) • First responder and military-themed content (e.g., airplane flyovers, job-related incidents, simulated accident scenes) Disclaimer: ExpandXR is intended for use by trained healthcare professionals for supervised exposure exercises. The app does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Patients should always consult a qualified healthcare provider for diagnosis and treatment.
