To an inspired writer and learner like you, Sparkle brings:
• Sparkling mode: with one click, a random paragraph — a sparkle of inspiration — is called back in front of your eyes, from your current file or the entire project. You’ll be surprised at what a great treasure your writings and your mountains of notes can turn out to be.
• Sketch panel: now you can work on the main text and its sketch side by side, on any text document, so that your work in progress is always clean, no matter how messy the work site is.
• Instantaneous writing: click the Sparkle icon in the Dock, or in the status bar, to start writing or taking notes instantly. With its feather-light body weight (the entire application is just 5.3MB!) and its austere consumption of memory, Sparkle is always ready at your fingertips.
• Auto paste in Instant Editor: take notes from any other apps with just the "copy" keyboard shortcut (Command + C).
• Title view and keyword view: navigate through long documents with simplicity and fluidity.
• Zero distraction: with the only exception of the instant mode of Quick Note, your writing space is always full screen, with everything else than your writing hidden inside the right-click menus.
• Limited freedom, unlimited creativity: not everyone is a designer, who thrives at tweaking countless layout details. For the rest of us, it’s pains-taking, with no good result guaranteed. Sparkle is professionally designed by top-notch designers, so that you can focus on the content, not the form — which has already been brilliantly taken care of. Even pure text in Sparkle is a pure delight to your eyes.
Other key features:
• Support essential rich text editing with a core subset and a customised extension of Markdown syntax: bold, italic, highlight, annotation, link, underline, strikethrough, superscript, subscript, three levels of list, three levels of title, three customisable theme colours.
• Support inserting images in texts: .png, .jpeg, .gif, .tiff, .heic, .svg, .webP, .pdf.
• Customisable overall typeface, font size and theme colours, in bright or dark mode.
• Autosave every 1 to 3 minutes, with up to five different historical versions for each document.
• Statistics for selected texts, current document, and the entire project.
• Find and replace in the entire project.
• Timestamps to facilitate journal making.
• Export in RTF for further editing in Pages, Word, InDesign or other desktop publishing softwares; or as PDF for printing and sharing.
• Apple intelligence Writing tools ready.
Known Issues:
• Images and “highlight” format cannot be exported in RTF.
