Pixcribe is private, on-device dictation for Mac. Press a customizable shortcut to record, then press it again to turn your speech into text and copy it to the clipboard.
Choose from local speech-recognition engines, add vocabulary for names and specialized terms, and optionally rewrite transcripts using downloadable on-device AI models.
Recent keeps your transcript history on your Mac for quick copying. Optional Saved Audio lets you retain and replay longer recordings when enabled.
Clipboard delivery does not require Accessibility permission. Assistive Paste is an optional motor-accessibility feature, off by default, for people who have difficulty switching apps or repeatedly pressing multi-key shortcuts.
Transcription and rewriting run on your Mac. An internet connection is required to download models. Performance varies by Mac and selected model.
