Instead we have a host of improvements and new features: • “Chinese First” Language Display: Redesigned as a large-character edition for learners. • Refined Glosses: Glosses app-wide are polished and updated with [helper words] in brackets for better readability. • Swipe to Verse: Open a chapter, then swipe left or right to move through verses! • Indexes and Search: Previews now show the whole target sentence for better context. • Encyclopedia Daoxue: Browse all 185 entries as books. Go to Settings: Display. • Bug Fixes and Stability: A code audit of all 22,000 lines produced over 100 small improvements throughout the app. Most of these require the Scholar Pack. However, “Swipe to Verse” is a big navigation improvement for all.

• New Verse Content: Lunyu chapter two selections are complete: 15 verses with their extensive traditional commentaries. Includes the famous verse, “He who learns but does not think is lost,” and many others. • Imperial Bronze: New skin with practical benefits of no glare when reading, no saturation problem in dark mode, and an all-around more dignified look for the classics. • Dinkus: The “scene changes” in the classic text are now represented in the English translation with a dinkus (“***”).

Our biggest update yet! In addition to finishing our selections from Lunyu chapter one (7 new verses), we have three big practical improvements: • Text Selection: Press and hold, or double tap, to select and copy text. Can select anything (titles, verse, commentary, footnotes). • Tappable Links: Tap interconnecting references throughout the app to check out biographies, explanation of terms, and other verses, without losing your reading place. • Improved Readability: Refined font weights give better readability, especially for the commentaries.

• New Verse Content: Lunyu chapter one begins with Zhu Xi's Introduction, followed by four famous verses with their extensive traditional commentaries (1.1–1.4). • Improved Readability: Maximum font size now available up to 20pt. Chinese text blocks appear bolder for improved legibility, with a sans-serif typeface option in settings. • Classical Chinese Study Mode: Set toolbar to 'Chinese First' and 'Sentence Mode' to see our improved layout. • Refined Navigation: Small improvements all around to navigation, especially iPad and search.
