We’ve improved calling reliability and fixed an issue that could cause calls to fail or get stuck on “Connecting.” You can now retry failed calls without restarting the app.

Fixed user verification. After both people confirm the emojis match, the profile now shows as Verified straight away instead of looking like the verification failed.

Calls • Updated the calling engine with upstream audio and connection fixes. • Your microphone now recovers reliably after an interruption, such as an incoming phone call. • Calls detect a dropped connection sooner and reconnect instead of appearing to stay live. Vault • Folders now show how many files they contain and their total size, instead of a message preview. • Your storage total stays accurate when you delete a folder or note, and folders you deleted earlier no longer count towards it. • The delete confirmation now names the folder and how much is in it, and makes clear the deletion is permanent and applies to all your devices.

Incoming calls • A call that arrives while the app is fully closed now rings for its full duration and can be answered. Previously it could be cut off after a single ring if it arrived before your account had finished loading. • One-to-one calls now show the person's name, instead of the room name or a raw username, even after the conversation has been renamed. • A stale call screen left behind by a previous app session is now cleared on the next launch, so it can no longer block or mute your next call.

Fixes in this build - Calls interrupted by another call now resume properly: audio comes back instead of getting stuck on "Call Held", and the microphone keeps the mute state you chose. - Incoming group calls show the group name again, next to the caller's name when both are known. - Fixed calls arriving on a signed-out device and stale call handling after signing out and back in, which could leave incoming calls unanswerable.

Calls • Fixed cases where a call started with no audio — the audio route is now prepared before the system hands the call over, and recovers on its own if iOS never activates it. • Switching or unplugging a headset mid-call no longer stops your microphone. • The speaker button now reflects the real route, and is hidden while your camera is on. • Incoming calls no longer close the app unexpectedly, and an answered call ends properly when the other person leaves. • Ending a call no longer leaves the app stuck. Contacts • Name the people you talk to. Your contact names stay private to your account, sync across your own devices, and are never shared. • A one-to-one chat is always titled after the person you're talking to, so no one else can change it. • Edit a contact name straight from the chat details screen. Other improvements • Smoother switching between sticker packs. • Declining an invite already handled on another device no longer shows an error. • Meeting owners are no longer asked for the meeting password when rejoining. • Room reports include a details field again, so support can act faster. • Fixed several cases where the app was closed by the system while syncing in the background.
